Will have to see if something similar in Australia. My rescue dog will often let me know when i am starting to become dysregulated and help me manage that and will tell me when its time to remove myself from a situation. I didnt initially recognise this, though an autistic friend did. I'm still not noticing my early signs for shutdown or meltdown, but my dog seems too. I trust him now.

There's no therapist like a dog. I would know. 🤩🥳❤️

How long does it take until an autistic person knows if they get one and how long it takes in addition until it's clear which kind of dog it will be. Is there any kind of choice, such as "a small dog", "a livid dog", ... or is that coincidence?

My dog was trained by God as she’s my puppy angel 👼. I didn’t even understand what she’s been doing for the last 3 years, beginning at 6weeks old. She’s would press into me when I got upset, or emotional, or disregulated. She responds to others also in need of attention. I pray anyone identifying with Autism, believes in Jesus, for he can help us so much, for by believing we receive, and by faith our minds can change as promised by God. Shalom and lots of love on the Journey.❤
