    I hate it when people comment without thinking. Sasha had no issues before another dog was adopted because all of her problems were jealousy. It's the "only child syndrome" basically. She was the only dog for so long and never had to share that love and affection. Now that she does have to share it though, she was never taught how to deal with it, so she deals with it the only way she knows how - aggression.

    I have a 2 yr old Morkie poo. A few months ago we adopted a Great Pyrennes mix puppy. Our Morkie was MISERABLE. She hated the new puppy with a passion. All they did was fight NON STOP. They could barely be in the same room together. Unfortunately we had to end up rehoming the new puppy for safety's sake. I was so mad, I really loved the puppy..But I had no idea my Morkie would react that way. The whole point of a new dog was so our Morkie would have companionship. But what we realized is that she hates ANY other dog in her home. It's horrible because I really want a second dog 😭.

    It seems like sasha wasnt territorial like that before digweed. She didnt have any reason to feel jealous before they got a second dog, so it's likely the owners didnt realize sasha would react like that until they adopted digweed. That kind of stuff happens all the time with human children, too. The older sibling is a doll until the parents have another baby, then suddenly the older kid starts acting up because theyve never had to share attention before, and theyre jealous of their younger sibling. You cant always predict how a dog will feel when you bring someone new into the house.

  • @Eventide215

    @Eventide215

    4 жыл бұрын

    @@angelaten1098 Finally someone with some actual sense.. rare to find on KZread anymore. From the looks of it, Sasha isn't even territorial actually. She's just always gotten him to herself, so having to share was a new experience she was never taught how to properly cope with. Like you said, the same situation applies to children when one goes from being an only child for years to suddenly losing the attention they're used to. Also, if this was actually a territorial thing, Sasha would have seriously hurt Digweed a long time ago. She wouldn't just scare him off to hide in a corner, she'd seriously hurt him. This is actually just jealousy and not knowing how to cope with it properly. After some training though she realized she's not losing *all* of his attention, just *some* of it, which is fine.

    Favoritism also plays a factor. If someone is showing one dog more attention, love, and apoteciation, the other dog will take that as the other dog stealing their family member away and take it out on said dog. And it's not so much as "act up for attention". It's more like "This is my family, and you're not taking it from me!" It's more of a fear of being rejected by the family and losing said family. It happens with all beings. They don't wanna be left out, so if they're not shown equal love, attention, and education, that fear develops and turns into aggression.

    This clip is much calmer and looking at a productive end result than the last. Releasing the full episode on KZread would helpful for a lot of people who have the same kind of dogs or are thinking of getting them but put in the average amount of (barely any) research before getting a dog and don’t have regular access to the show. I’ve had many of these dogs before, a friend really wants one but won’t hear me out when I tell them to research it and evaluate life seriously because reading the books and webpages is too much work. I can see their desired future dog ending up in the pound or on a training tv show as it stands right now. I’m making a dog play list, it’s “easier research”, and I think it’s mostly your clips.

    Sometimes reflection for the camera and lights could be an issue, so they cover it. I was wondering why not just remove it, but maybe they couldn’t just take it down for some reason. They will close blinds on the windows too or cover mirrors. But it could also be something perhaps inappropriate like nude image 😬 or copyright issues.

    The fact you had any luck at all with training a beagle of all dogs to be quite has me believing you are a magician of some kind. I've worked with shelter dogs most of my almost 30 years of life, and scent hounds with their "barking" (more like yodeling in some cases) is my biggest challenge. I can get them to do almost anything but stay quiet. lol

    That Sasha looked away is not because she is disgust, that can mean she shows respect. Looking away means respect but also shows that you don’t want to fight. If i have food and my dog looks at me as soon as i look at him he looks away. Reason is he knows that i am the boss if he looks at me and i would have been a dog there is a big chance that i would have correct him with my teeth. But bc i’m a human i don’t do that.

It was obvious that situation escalated because of possession over me. Middle one is terrified of the big one when it comes to me being around them as the big dog is too possessive. She's is fine with the smallest dog but she is not OK with the middle one. I'll apply this method today.

Claasic styles being very rare. I know lots about american bulldogs they acually almost became extinct during WWII. Although people get them believing theyre pits but are not.
