I care for, and train the Police Dogs in Leicestershire and (other than a big kennel block) this is spot on. The police dogs have such a great time just “being dogs” with me and have so much fun. It’s a real joy working with animals (and exhausting and potentially dangerous at times😂)

There’s a doggy daycare 2 minutes from my work where I send my fur baby on days I have to be in the office! They’re wonderful and have three different rooms so big dogs aren’t running around with all of the little ones overwhelming them. It’s a lifesaver in the winter when it’s too cold to take him for his longer walks.

i swear you should seriously look into interior design or something because you are so good at creating realistic, functional, and most importantly beautiful spaces!! like i could see myself bringing my dog here, its crazy how good you are!! always enjoy watching your builds ❤

It's so cozy! And looks safe and warm just as dogs deserve it :D. Speaking of puppies, I met one neighbour's puppy yesterday who was wobbling around with a 2m stick he was very proud of. And today I met another neighbour's chihuahua puppy, she's so tiny! Her whole body fit into my hands!

This is perfection. Let my work here, yes pls. But very true as well that working with dogs is hard. My sister has a kennel and she has always between 13 to 16 dogs at her place. They are adorable but there’s a lot of work required, but despite that it is a blessing nevertheless.

This is a great idea for a build I have to add it to my gameplay! My cousin told me that on a very cold night, a stray dog somehow snuck in their garden and fell into the pool. The poor thing was freezing, they stayed up all night making sure it was warm in front of the fireplace and massaging it. Luckily the dog was fine and healthy in the end but it was really scary

I used a doggy daycare when my German Shepard was a puppy to get acclimated to other dogs, and other people. I’m lucky enough that he can be home now with someone always home but it was wonderful for socialization when he was a pup

This is so cute, I absolutely love it! I have certainly visited several doggy daycares in my neighborhood, but I live in Manhattan and they’re all incredibly expensive, so it’s lucky that I’m allowed to bring my dog with me to work.

Our lab has always gone to day care once a week to socialise with other dogs. Initially it was because hubby was out all day and I was out a few hours a day for work, but now hubby works from home we just use for social for him. He loves it….. he knows the word school….haha….

I work next to two doggie day cares. They also not only dog sit, but train dogs for all kinds of reasons like dog shows, obedience, and stuff. This is adorable! Your builds are always amazing! Glad Daisy is doing well. She has wonderful dog parents to adore her.

what a cute idea, i definitely haven't done enough pets community lots or gameplay beyond just having a pet and yes frechies should never ever swim, its hard for their proportions, my frenchie just goes to the steps of pools but never tries to get in, she knows she'll just sink the idea of someone not jumping in to rescue anything that is drowning is ridiculous to me

I love this so much! Also loved the commentary. I haven't seen the dog in the pool video but I would be absolutely furious so I won't look for it. I'm more of a fan of the guy way back in 2008 whose dog was swimming in the ocean when it was grabbed by a shark. The man jumped into the water and punched the shark in the face. The dog was injured but okay! That my kind of pet owner!

Wonderful job as always. I could also see turning this build into home and using the barn area as a garden and a place to home a horse, when the ranch pack comes out. You could also use this as a home for a sim who fosters strays and finds them homes.

Oh, I love this! You're right, the red barn look helps it fit into Brindleton even though it's beautifully modern. I remember Sims 3 had the regular Daycare active career which I think was attached to one of the Sims 3 Store worlds which I never bought but always kinda longed for because of that (lol or else it came in a pack and I just forgot it was there?? haha I don't know, I just know I never played it but wished that I could.) It's a shame there's no child or pet daycare active career in the Sims 4 because that'd be a lot of fun and it's a shame the only way that you can come close to simulating it is to have a bunch of strays show up. At first I assumed you'd made it a dog park but if it still works on the generic lot that's really cool (and then you don't have the park item requirements to worry about.) I guess the other way would be to make it a retail lot but that's only good if you enjoy selling stuff at the same time and it might get in the way of spending time with the doggos. IDK! I know LilSimsie made a vid about a daycare career but I assumed it was a mod so I haven't watched it yet because I got excited and then disappointed remembering it's most likely a mod (or maaaaybe she was playing in Sims 3... either way I decided to wait because of being disappointed lol. Which IDK why since if it's either of those things I could still get them but... feelings are valid, they just don't always make sense.) I'm glad you get to spend all day with your doggies, that's got to be better for them in general (as well as the diet for peeps who can afford it.) I've never had a dog so can't comment on a walker vs an IRL daycare but I do know an actual dog groomer so I'm pleased you added a grooming station in this build even if it's not really usable in that manner lol (hey if you have the vet skill at least then your Sim can treat the pets for free if they want.) Regarding the poor dog in the video you saw, I can only hope the humans couldn't swim either... only reason I can imagine for not getting in but if they could swim, I'd be pretty pissed off as well. I never considered certain dog breeds being worse at swimming before but that makes sense. Glad you at least figured out safely in Blue's case! The fence just adds to the realism regardless; you don't want random people going in there (even though in game I'm sure that they do... all the time lol.) Anyway, thanks for building this and also showing how you change your mind while building haha. It helps people to realize that no one builds the perfect lot on the first try or without changing anything. ;)

All dogs, Sims dogs included, deserve the absolute best! I love this build! I’m very curious about your dog’s raw diet! I have always wanted to try doing that, but there is so much conflicting info out there so it feels like a behemoth task to even start!

I have a yorkie, a pomeranian, and n new australian shepherd puppy. They go to a very nice lady when I go to work. She has a doggie daycare at her house. She also takes them when we vacation. The puppies love her and have a great time with the other doggies that go there.

Astroturf sounds great on paper but let me tell you… I worked at a lodging/daycare/grooming/training facility that put in turf years after the original building to “add value” and it was awful. It gets VERY HOT in the summer, it can tear up dog’s pads, the cleaning protocol is over the top and still leaves it smelly, and looks bad after just a few years. It may be okay if done at home, with low traffic and pottying but good heavens, it is a nightmare at a daycare facility.

There is no doggy daycare where I live out in the country, and when I used to live near the city around 30 years ago, doggy daycares were not a thing here in Australia. I would love to see a mod for a doggy daycare and puppy preschool.

This is a lovely build. I tried doggy daycare many years ago, but my dog was turned down because he wasn’t neutered. I chose not to neuter him since he has a heart condition. Didn’t want to risk it.

I could see the lot being very easily converted in game to be a veterinary clinic, like the community lots in evergreen harbor that you can vote on
