As a youtube comment expert i consider myself as an aviation specialist and i'd say MIG is superior

From what i know (no expert here ) , Two very different fighters . The f-15 has a very high thrust to weight ratio , and is very maneuverable at high speed high altitude engagements . It has very good energy retention. The su-30 is better in high aoa thanks to its design and thrust vectoring but after a very tight turn it will bleed a lot of energy . So really the pilot who drags the other aircraft to a fight that benefits his aircraft will win . I say Its different philosophy because Americans although they were the first to test thrust vectoring in aircrafts the didn't use it . They only use it in the f-22 . I think most us fighters are designed to keep their energy better while russian ones can turn tighter and are more maneuverable at low speeds but they bleed a lot of energy . I guess its a matter of who's the pilot .

In real life , the dogfights usually end in the 1st 2-3 turns . All it takes is one good turn and that's it but at the end of the day , it really comes down to the pilot's capabilities and his/her training . Both are capable aircrafts but the Su-30MKI i believe has the edge with it's super maneuverability , mix of russian israeli and french avionics paired with r-77 , r-73 , mica and indigenous missiles like astra mk1 and in the near future astra mk2 and 3 .

Uhaha ... In the early 90s there was a "courtesy visit" of the Russian Air Force to the country of Pindos, that is, the United States. The Americans offered to conduct mock battles between su27 and f15 as well. The proud Yankees prefer not to talk about the results (apparently because they still hurt). It’s not real... the easiest way to prove that is the camera angles. You can’t be still in the sky in the middle of a dogfight. It’s obviously fake if you analyze it even a little. I assume you’re trolling, but some people may not realize so this is mostly for them.

I am all for Indian pilots, but they never showed any material proof. No photos, no fighter jet scraps of F-16. But the captured Indian pilot was released by Pakistan Military . The Indian Air Force has to do better that that.

As per my knowledge, Dog fights are history now. 5th generation aircraft are capable of firing missiles in all 360 degrees. Add to it increasing capacity of BVR missiles. Yes, for pure nostalgia, this can be enjoyed.

Actually dogfights in today's day and age dogfights are oddly common.Dogfight despite cultural belief still occurs quite commonly in today's modern age of air to air combat. The efficacy of BVR air-to-air missiles has been criticized. The increased success rate of BVR combat during Operation Desert Storm may have significantly depended on other factors, such as assistance of AWACS, NCTR system of F-15Cs, as well as enemy incompetence. One major issue with BVR is still unreliable IFF technology to this day (Identification friend or foe) which can cause massive friendly fire issue.

He has actual footage of mock dogfights of him being an F18 D verses Mig 29 and SU 30MKM. He said he wins and loses in those engagements. It all comes down to pilot and training.

I agree with your assessment. The eagle doesn’t just fly on one plane. It uses vertical as well as horizontal and everything in between. U.S. airmen are so skilled it’s scary.

People here are bragging about some joint air games which the Indian Su-30's had a 9:1 kill ratio. Great headline, but that's all it is. The Indian government place restrictions on the F-15, I guess to build moral or simulate some other aircrafts. Regardless: * The F-15's were not allowed to have the advanced active electronically scanned array (AESA) radar system. (The Eagle is 105-0 in real life combat because they kill other fighters from long distance, which they are trained to do.) * The air engagements typically involved six Eagles against up to eighteen IAF aircraft with no chance to simulate any beyond visual range (BVR) missile shot. * Again, the IAF requested that no F-15's be allowed to carry AMRAMM's, something that would never happen in real life. It's the equivalent of asking the Eagles to bring a knife to a gun fight. The Flanker is inherently more maneuverable than the F-15, and with these restrictions in place... well, you get the picture. That being said, India has a great air force, and American brass praised them for their abilities and (most importantly) said the USAF learned a lot during the exercises. Lastly, the F-15 has lost during air games in the past, but is 105 - 0 in real life air battles, most of which, weren't close.

@@threestrikes1442 Yea, considering the F-22 pilots aren’t even trained to handle such fights and are made as last ditch effort for the pilot, the 30SM2, 35S, MKi+ (which is literally a 5th gen SU-30MKi without stealth) still have far better maneuverability over the F-22, which is a lot more stable due to its angular design, something you want very little of in a dogfight.

Yeah sure. An SU-29 piloted by a Russian was shot down by a Turkish F-16. It was all over the news about a year and a half ago. Stop drinking the cool aid.

In real life they Will not be able to come that close. Rocket Will Have launched before they come close range from 100 km.

negative dude , dogfight will never end , they will have to come close if they are out of missiles , if they dodged each others missiles , if there is a full scale war between two countries , there will be lots of dogfights

Dogfights in today's day and age dogfights are oddly common.Dogfight despite cultural belief still occurs quite commonly in today's modern age of air to air combat. The efficacy of BVR air-to-air missiles has been criticized. The increased success rate of BVR combat during Operation Desert Storm may have significantly depended on other factors, such as assistance of AWACS, NCTR system of F-15Cs, as well as enemy incompetence. One major issue with BVR is still unreliable IFF technology to this day (Identification friend or foe) which can cause massive friendly fire issue.
