Thanks, I definitely wasn't expecting any promotion in return but that would be cool, all I know is. I don't know what you would title that video, but that would be a cool ass Twist on things, everybody knows those see-through engines, and to take that material, make something else out of it and shoot it through a gun would just be badass!. It took me almost a year to develop that material. But I'll tell you this, it's really clear, slightly flexible, and amazingly strong.

I love how April looks over at David during the race. Like most viewers, I think April was just having a LOT of fun. I’m sure David was having fun too, but he knew it was a real race. BTW, David’s music REALLY worked accompanying the race! It also looked like April has decide David is her new friend.

I love April's face in slow mo, she has the time to turn her head and stare at David before the first two steps of every race; her expression is like: "why is he moving along with me at the same time?"

I love it that April looks at the runner next to him each time. Very nice.

No human can outrun a driven (well trained) and healthy German Shepherd under legitimate circumstances. If we could, they wouldn't be used in law enforcement and military applications. They can easily top 30mph.

@@isakwendesten4695 if you look at all the reaction times April is as fast if not faster at reacting than David. The only time where David was a head was when they were laying down. Now, I think what makes this inaccurate is that April could go much faster than this, especially if the distance was longer. But she's not trained to go as fast as possible (like racing Greyhounds). It would be fun to see a second episode comparing April with a newly retired racing Greyhound and see the difference in speed and acceleration.

German Shepherds (when they are actually trying) can run well over 30 mph. Greyhounds can run 45 mph. The fastest human on Earth, Usain Bolt, has been clocked at a max of just under 28 mph. So no, your friend cannot run faster than "any dog".

April was playing around. I've had a few German Shepherds and used to exercise them by having them chase the ute down a dusty outback road. They sure didn't look like that... They're really really fast when they're trying. Their face changes as well - from playfulness to determination.

lol... for sure she was getting really into it!. I was saying the exact same thing when we were shooting this, but we couldn't bring our heavy filming equipment on the grass here. but a 100-yard dash would be fantastic. going to do that next. thanks for the suggestion and thanks for watching!.

For anyone else wondering: Greyhound 70kph Usain bolt 45kph. apearently sighthounds can reach 110kph but I didnt feel confident in that because of the source. Still 70vs 45 is quite the definitive answer. Not to discredit the video, that was awesome too.

I hate to break this to you but the only entity actually racing in that video was David. April thought she was just playing a game. In a real race, she'd be at the finish line before he gets out of his drive phase. When she's looking at him, it's actually not because she's being competitive, she's looking to him for direction to see what he wants her to do. GSDs do that when they run with a human. They won't try to actually beat the human or race past the human unless trained to do so or offered a different incentive. If he'd have slowed down, so would she. They always modify their speed according to the human. The only way to get her to run top speed is to have her chase something. If you were in the back of a pickup, she'd chase you in a pickup and wouldn't care what David is doing. That's how you'll see her true speed. Fun video, but nowhere near accurate given the temperament of GSDs.

Love it!, You're probably right on the money, I mean who knows what she was actually thinking but she just wanted to go all day. next time for sure I'm going to set this up there for me to see how bad she leaves him in the dust for real. But it was fun and I gave me a chance to put David up to what he's always saying, he's always saying he can beat a dog no problem...lol

I tried this scenario with my Doberman. I had him sat at the 50 yard line and I started running towards the goal line. I only made it 20 yards. He grabbed my pant leg. He is way too fast. 🐕🚀☝️❤🙋‍♂️maybe try a further run. April would win everytime. No worries. 🐕☝️🏆❤

@@robertsjames2002 greyhounds are the fastest they have been in my family for thousands of years and all of them have beat my friends whippet's so just saying greyhounds have lots of history behind them and a whippet is a cross breed and it is a miniature greyhound do research of greyhounds and find out the history behind them

Fatima Ghous lol its not all true though, just because one greyhound can go faster than a whippet doesn't mean that all greyhounds are faster. I agree in long distance a healthy greyhound can beat a whippet but in short distance whippets have a pretty good chance!

I would like to see him against my ex-race Greyhound; breed in Limerick, Ireland. .Boy, he flew. Literally just flew over any obstacle in his path; joy to watch :)

Great video, I love the slow motion parts, as a dog owner I have great respect for dog reflexes and abilities. Yes dogs have four legs and worry free minds, they live in moment. We as humans don't and only two legs. But watching this human-dog competing video with great music in the background made my day. I think April is trying to figure out what this game is all about. But this is also a reminder how close we were with dogs for thousands of years. I like to think I see some appreciation in April's eyes when she gets up looks at David and runs. They both would be great hunting companions if sprint was switched into long distance. I am going to check the music out🙂

I actually was considering buying a Belgian Malinois. They are pretty cool Dogs as well and I believe their gene pool is a lot more diverse. For instance because April is military bred she has a lot of allergies. Dogs with a more diverse gene pool have a lot less issues

I’ve outran a pitbull, Rottweiler and a Chow when I was a kid. When I was 13 the pit almost got me because I felt a nip at my heels and I could hear it’s panting. I was lucky that I happened to be running towards a huge steep muddy hill and I went sliding down while still running. I heard a yelp, but I kept running and sliding down this hill and when I got to the bottom the pit was gone. The Rottweiler was a neighbors dog of a new friends house from my church. I was about 8 or 9. I was shooting basketball in their driveway and the Rottweiler was growling at me from behind, but it had an electrical fence. I was scared so I started walking to the backyard and it crossed over and starting chasing me and I was screaming and running and I kept running zig zag in circles screaming. Turned out the lady neighbor was over my friends house not sure why the fence was off. She told me to stop running and he would stop. I slowed down and it bit my jacket ripped it and tried to get a better bite so I started running again screaming. Finally her husband came out and yelled at the dog and it came cowering back to his house that one sucked. I deserved the Chow chasing me. I would walk to where it was and start running to outrun it and it would only chase me to a certain point to go back. Stupid idea haha. I tried racing a greyhound and it ran circles around me haha! I also tried to race a greyhound and it smoked me haha! The last two dogs weren’t trying to attack me so those encounters were better.

5:16 when you use all season tires at a drag race. Evertime the dog turn its head to watch you try hard. I imagine her saying bruh STOPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP... 🤣😂 YOU WASNT READYYYYYYYYY! This makes me want a dog again
