I’ve been thinking about getting one of these but some people make me feel bad like it’s cruel but what is cruel is having my dog bark all the time and having us kicked out of where our home base is ! Thank you so much 😊

Totally understand. We have one dog that is an extreme barker. I hope you find something that works for you. Good luck.

At one time Lexi use to go crazy when we walked by another dog. She was completely out of control. We used a similar collar. After a short period of time she realized if she barked she got shocked and it was a progressive style shock collar, if she kept barking the shock would become stronger. After about a month of use if you put the collar on her she would behave and without the collar she would still act up. over a period of about 6 months she no longer needed the collar at all. She still likes to bark at other dogs but if I am proactive and start talking to her and shorten the lease she is much better. I should also mention when I started training her I got rid of the retractable leash. They are the worst for dog training. Too much freedom. Now she is a completely different dog and is very well behaved most times. She still barks at other dogs when they go by but the absolute crazy barking days are over.

Thanks Gary. Sounds like you were successful with Lexi. You give us hope for Maggie. We have to just keep working with her.

This is working great on Maggie. Her barking was greatly reduced with this. She is starting to get used to it and has started barking a bit more.

@@RealLifewithAdrianRuth I just bought a second one for a second dog. The first I have used for six years and it's going strong. I have noticed minor changes for the better with the new ones. I would recommend them!

I really should have considered getting something like this for darbi a long time ago. She's very unruly at times. However, we had boxers before her that chewed right through the electric fence cuz they wanted to run through the fence. And they did. So that whole getting used to it thing must be true to a lot of dogs. And I don't want to keep adjusting it up to make it effective. So I just let her be unruly LOL.

Totally understand that. Darbi is too cute to be unruly. Haha. Maggie is usually good for about a week with these devices, then she starts getting used to it. We had a nice quiet week without her barking, but she is starting to bark a bit again. Thanks for watching, Felix.

Don’t use it on 18 I did with my dog cause it wasn’t working. I went and clicked it and he yelpped so loud and jump I was so scared. Please don’t do the same accident I did.

I have a dog with separation anxiety that barks. I just got this collar today but didn’t realize that it has a remote. I work- and I need something to suppress my dog from barking when I’m not at home. Any ideas?

I tried to shock the dog but she just looked at me. She’s a husky maybe too much hair?

You forgot to show how you paired the unit. I have the exact same model & I’m having a lot of trouble pairing it.
