These genuinely love animals and want to help them. It's great to see them openly learn what they need and include their little boy at certain times so he'll grow up learning how to treat dogs too.

This actress is one of my favs. She is hilarious. I am so happy to see you go and help her. She knew she found an opportunity when she seen you come here to the US. Who wouldn't? God bless this day. She has a lot on her plate.

Nicole is very humble. She is taking this counsel very well and Victoria is just a great counselor. We have 5 dogs and would love Victoria to come to Iowa. I'm learning so much from others. This is real life lessons for all dog owners.

I've worked with different trainers in Australia and the UK, and I can guarantee that dog trainers who use positive reinforcement are as good as Victoria, they just don't have a TV show. This does not belittle Victoria in any way, but you shouldn't underestimate other dog trainers

I know you think you're just complimenting Victoria here, but your phrasing excludes the many millions of people working as vets, vet nurses, groomers, rescue workers, rehab workers, and trainers, every day worldwide. Every person who works with stressed dogs has their own set of skills and instincts and understanding of the dogs' emotions. Some are better than others, certainly, and a few work with outdated techniques (or cultural understandings that you might disagree with). But Victoria is far from alone.

It's not a lot, but I couldn't help but give, because you Victoria are a God send to us here. We need your help here in the US. A lot of ppl have this problem along with others, your knowledge is needed all over the world!

Unfortunately he's not the only trainer using the pack approach, just the most famous one. Enough evidence of that style of training failing, but it sort of works often enough that there's still supporters. Sad.

I think so. She's a professional, so she's obviously not going to name him outright, but they way she said "from a certain camp" and the fact that she's an actress, it makes me suspect that he may have been who she was talking about. It's possible it was someone else, but I think maybe she was talking about Caesar Milan

These are some of the most accepting owners I've seen on this show. They know the flaws and are completely willing to work with Victoria to fix it without getting defensive. We need more owners like that.

how did i never know nicole sullivan was on an episode?! at the start i was like “man she really makes me think of that one actor.. what’s her name?” and then they said it! haha

A lot of people think specific dogs aren’t smart, because the dogs have learned humans are not going to make any kind of sense when they speak. I I have always thought the dogs I trained were just geniuses and then I realized that they expected me to make sense because I was consistent with my training so when I spoke or wanted to teach them something new, they realized that there was a way to make sense of what I was trying to communicate if they paid attention. basically dogs that people think aren’t smart, are probably the ones who think the same thing about people.

I love Nicole Sullivan. Living colors!! Great episode!

I really like this actress. She had a long part on 'King of Queens'. Her character was so funny! 😁 Oddly enough, she played a *dog* walker who Leah Remini's character started encouraging to "walk" her lonely father played by the late great Jerry Stiller, LMAO! 🤣

I loved the noise Victoria made to get Paco to stop marking but I pictured At 12:53 Paco like “SHUT UP LADY!!”

I have a rescue Catahoula….we got her at 5 months when she was living on the streets in Texas. It was a struggle but I am happy we have her because I fear someone else would have abused her or re-homed her. It took more than a year of her destroying (we had to get creative and be smarter than her to avoid it) to finally get her to stop. She is wonderful!

Nicole's "Enough" even gave me chills and made me want to stop 😂😂😂 And I'm sorry my heart she is such a precious being 🥹👏🏽

With the whistle training when they tried to up the ante. They ALWAYS need a reward! If its not going to be treats it needs to be a toy and eventually just pets and love. The dopamine from pets alone can be just as good as a treat and is a more realistic reward for actual field work. Treats normally dont follow until the end of day. Especially in working dogs that need to maintain a certain weight. And toys only in training.

When I did pet sitting the first thing I did with my and the new dog or dogs was take them outside (in the yard or on a walk) to scent mark

This one was a great session for once calmness all around

I was thinking how good NIcole looks in this episode and then I realized this aired in 2009. So it’s likely that all these dogs have since passed and her son is now 16.

Should have done their homework before bringing a Catahoula mix into the house. The Catahoula is a hunting/tracking dog, not a city dwelling dog. It *needs* space to run and explore and get its howls out. That's what it was bred to do! 😆

As with Pako its the same with my sisters chihuahua. A real sweetie but about as smart as a box of rocks
