At least there are people who are kind enough to rescue a dog. I have almost lost faith in humanity watching animals being mistreated for no fault of theirs. All that they do is give us unconditional love and yet they are discarded as rubbish. I really hope that everyone will treat them with the same love they give us

The kindness he shows to the dog as he gently encourages him to follow melts my heart. When the dog is scared and worried he keeps reassuring him. 💕

The dog is a Great Pyrenees!

That’s a Guardian breed, they have hugely thick coats for being out in the winter protecting flocks. Water logged with freezing water that must have been so heavy and cold poor thing. Hope it’s microchipped and they can get it home to a good meal and warm comfort.

I realized that simply leashing this large, delightful canine and pulling him by his neck would only heighten his fear. He seemed utterly bewildered and scared, so I took the time to calmly guide him along our path, across the at times swift and deep waters, offering reassurance whenever he paused, reminding him that we were in it together. Eventually, he found the courage to navigate the journey on his own alongside me. I treated him with the same care and empathy that I would desire in a similar situation, understanding the feeling of being frozen in fear. In such moments, gentle guidance is key, helping to restore a sense of rational calmness before facing daunting challenges ahead. He did amazingly well and proved to be a very brave pup."

The poor animal needs blankets and to be dried off. Just because it’s not in 4 feet of water doesn’t mean it’s ok!

How did that poor dog end up there in the first place? Did it fall down , come down the waterfall? Was it injured?

This is so distressing on so many levels. Huge kudos to the rescuers. I saw someone get their hand chewed to pieces trying to rescue a scared hurt dog. They have permanent damage and limited use of their hand as a result. This rescuer was so calm and kind. That poor dog. I hope it was a farm dog that slipped vs an irresponsible pet owner.
