I run a small cat rescue and always have a cat-savvy dog to dog-socialize cats and kittens. Our kittens get adopted very quickly because of this.

This lady did a marvelous job solving Phoebe's cat problem. What a great story!

Border collies are smart enough to figure out what their job is. When my mom was in a nursing home, my sweet boy figured out his job there was to go around and visit people. He was normally a standoffish one-person dog, but when it came to doing his job at the nursing home, he handled it in true border collie fashion, all heart.

I'm so glad Phobe got to keep one of the kitties. She loves them so much!

Feels like the "work" dogs are always good when get responsibility. Very instinctual for them to being responsible and busy.

I had a bookshop in Ohio wherein shelter cats were fostered and then adopted by customers. More than 50 were adopted from my shop over the years. I then wrote a series of novels about the experience (Shelve Under C: A Tale of Used Books and Cats is the first) to encourage other shops to look into fostering dogs, cats, rabbits, etc. The business that took over my location continued to foster, thankfully.
