Meanwhile, somewhere in any random city, a similar dog is wearing unicorn pyjamas, home alone for hours, waiting for a 15 minute walk around the block...if he's lucky.

My herding dog came off of farm. He might have a cushy comfortable life compared to the horse trailer the farmer had the pups in 🤣 but he’s never caged, rarely home alone, has a companion dog when he is home alone, is walked for miles every day, swims in the sea often, and gets to run run run in open fields. You’re right, MOST people should not have these dogs. Most people are selfish and lazy.

If the owner of a Border Collie leaves the dog home alone for a hours and then goes for a 15 minute walk around the block.... that'd be disastrously bad for the owner of that house. These dogs WILL find a way to entertain themselves, even if it means chewing all your window sills, blinds, and curtains.
Hypnotic watching, how fine the line Brodey walks displaying no fear and side stepping those horns. Man and dog perfect harmony thanks for this.

We owned a terrier and blue healer mix and the dog was absolutely fearless also. Loved and I mean loved to hunt though. But extremely intelligent and very protective over who she considered bonded with. But also extremely affectionate though. If she saw you laying around, she would lay on top of you. But she didn't like strangers who would suddenly come into our space. It could make some people very uncomfortable the way she would react and let people know she wasn't cool with them yet. But very tough and scrappy dogs.

Love the “side eye” he gives her. Sometimes direct eye contact, sometimes the always ominous side eye. So awesome. Will power and just outrageous courage.
I absolutely LOVE watching dogs who actually WORK for a living. About 15 years ago at a highway crossing in MT, I was the lone motorist who was lucky enough to be treated to the display of around 30 to 40 head, being controlled by only 3 dogs and a single Rancher on a 4-wheeler, who was whistling commands to his Border Collies. It was the epitome of a 'well oiled machine.'

Taking on an animal so much larger with horns that can rip him up compared to his little teeth 😮 he must be dog tired at the end of the day. Are you very young or maybe only ever lived in a big city (in both cases maybe not yet having witnessed something like this)? Not being mean, just curious. There are dog breeds specifically bred to herd farm animals/livestock. Border Collies are one of them. German Shepherds, Australian Shepherds (now you know why the dog breed's called "Sgepherd").
Wow! The authority of your dog is just Outstanding! I think it’s really interesting to see how the entire Video is about Communication.
A dog like this is just a joy to watch them work. A great dog and an outstanding job of training him. Well done boss.
Not the size of the Dog, but the size of the Fight in the Dog. He is a warrior.
Brody is worth his weight in gold. He was up against a stubborn animal!! Good for him!!!
The other dogs sitting on their wire spools waiting their turn is so endearing. What good dogs!
This is the most amazing display of a working dog I have ever seen. I wish there were more videos available like it. He’s confident and intimidating. He’s watching not only the bull he’s trying to break but all the cattle AND his owner. The athleticism to dodge just enough..the inhibition to bite just enough..I have been obsessed with dogs since I was little and border collie was always my favorite even after 10 years in a dog career. Even though they are my favorite and I want one so bad, seeing them in natural environments like this and working in agility, tricks, and other sports let’s me know I am NOT the right owner for one and I would not do it justice!
Today they are mostly our pets. But thousands of years ago, we were partners. Both our families were fed and protected. It's nice to see what is possible.
Wow 😳 my anxiety level was through the roof. My heart pounding my body tense. I was so scared for Brody when they would charge at him. But obviously Brody is very agile and in control. Good job Brody!! You're Amazing 😍🤩
Brodey is tough....his trainer/owner has done an amazing job with him!!💙😊
It's astonishing how intelligent are these beautiful creatures. And those amazing reflexes!!!
The balls it takes to move an animal that is 50 times bigger than you are and who would like nothing better than to stomp you to pieces is absolutely incredible to watch. Much respect!

I do t think you can ‘make’ a dog watch and learn. These are all working dogs bred from a working line also so their natural instinct of curiosity and wanting to do the same thing is incredibly strong. They will also have been tested as puppies also and only those kept that already show herding instinct along with fearlessness so all those dogs will be curious and relatively easy to train by the farmer. They watch because they want to be doing the same thing - it’s what they’re quite literally born to do!
From the uk and own a couple of non working collies. Really funny that the other collies are watching its performance ringside. Leaning/judging or ready to step in if things go pear shaped! Beautiful dogs who have certainly kept me fit in my retirement. It’s the eye stare that gets me…..’they can look into your soul while also telling you to take them for a run’
That is one brave, determined and well trained dog 👏🏼

So amazing! The communication betwixt three species: some pure instinct, another, revised and disciplined. When the alpha male pissed then smelled his urine, he realized he'd submitted. That dog, (and the very word "dog" describes something or better yet someone noble!) took his queues and perfect beats upon command. Complete and ultimate trust between the man and his dog and dog and his man! This potent clip speaks deeply and awakens something subconsciously known: dog and man and beast of the fields are intertwined upon this earth and we speak each other's language when we all take time to be insightful and aware. Something beautiful in this display of animalisiticism. Thank you.
I had no idea the dog was teaching a class, until I saw the other dogs watching everything from their cable spools, learning the trade. Amazing how fast dogs are. They have to slow down to slow motion, when they play with humans.
Какая умница, упорная,терпеливая!

Awesome. Like watching a boxing coach and student. Encouraging him when to move in and the come by command to protect him from a potential opening for the cow to pin him on the fence. You can see the confidence of the dog when he knew you had his back.
