    Our family got a wolfdog puppy when I was little, she was my puppy pillow when I was tiny, my best friend as I was growing up, the cuddliest and the most affectionate doggo I've ever seen, and she grew to the size of a small horse, she could literally prop herself over our 7 feet high fence and look out into the street. She was about as big as our second dog(Irish Wolfhound). It was the funniest thing as we've had people literally run away from our door the moment they spotted our dogs, postman literally refused to deliver our mail because they would guard the mailbox on our gate. Walking them was the best feeling in the world, I was relatively short until late high school, so going around town with two giant puppers just looked all kinds of funny, luckily my step-dad trained them rigorously so they were really tame by the time I was even allowed to take over the walking duty. The one thing that I learned the hard way was the bigger the dog, the more it wants to be lapdog, and there isn't a lap big enough for that. I loved those cuddle-bugs so much, I barely survived emotionally when they passed away, crying my eyes out like a little girl, I remember even my step-dad crying and it was the only time I remember him doing so.

    If you ever have a conversation with someone who can't understand how we domesticated wolves and turned them into dogs, show them this video. Having the husky and wolfdog right next to each other shows how similar they are, and seeing the wolfdog behave well demonstrates that even today, humans can domesticate them and they act fairly dog-like. It's a very illustrative example of what must have happened thousands of years ago when we were tossing scraps of food to the lone wolf that was curious enough to come to our campfire.

  • @JubioHDX

    @JubioHDX

    we can TAME them, domestication requires centuries+ of breeding. Other than that youre right on all accounts though, its just important not to act like things like wolves and big cats are "domestic" just because they were raised from a young age and nice to their owners. they still have dangerous instincts and prey drive levels, but they can certainly be tame when kept full

    @@ConWolffilms133 a german shepherd does not have a bite force of 750 and a wolf does not have a bite of 1500. I’m sorry but that is incorrect especially for the german shepherd. Hard as it may seem, a gsd has mainly around a 240lbs bite force. Maybe more believable as huskies are a more closer relative to wolves therefore have more traits and similarities. On the other hand, a wolf can go up to 1200lbs when threatened but not 1500 and especially not when not under a life or death type of situation. A large wolf normally has 800lbs psi, a wolfdog such as the one in the video has roughly around 400lbs psi. Correct me if i’m wrong but your data seems very dodgy.
