Thanks for the review. I don't know if you had tried the Nardi teardrop knob yet. I didn't think it would do anything but when I installed on my NC2 I was surprise how it enhances the shifting experience. It has just the right weight and since it is made from wood it doesn't get hot when car sits outside.
The fifth gear thing is just to make 2nd to 3rd easier when driving hard. Just to make sure you don’t go 2nd to 5th
I've heard short shifters have a tendency to wear the synchro very quickly and create a whine. Have you found this ?
shoot, just went to their website and they don't make one to fit the NC 6 Speeds! good review still

They’re working on it and will have a 6 speed NC one in a couple of weeks.
