"We don't follow Jesus to be better baseball players. But I think people at times want to shy away from the fact that by following Jesus we are actually better at living life. That it makes us better baseball players but it makes us better husbands It makes us better fathers right because we have the freedom to know that we don't have to earn anything. And we're just free to just go out and play and be present in the moment because our performance doesn't make us you know more valuable or less valuable right. Our identity is not wrapped up in what we do So then we have the freedom to just go out and do and exhibit the gifts that God has given us So I think I just wanted to make that point is that following Jesus doesn't mean you're going to be the best at what you do or play in the big leagues like we've got the opportunity to do But following Jesus allows you the ability to be free in the present moment to just be better at whatever you're doing in life." - Nick Ahmed
