The shirt is a sports shirt for the Montreal Marroons, an NHL team at the time. Sunglasses certainly existed in 1941. And that compact camera is called a Browny, a common carry item for tourists at the time.

Those "sunglasses" were actually welding shades used with Acetylene Torch cutting and braising. The Shirt was a Michigan University PT shirt and that sweater, no one today would be caught dead in. He's just a cool dude that knows where he belongs in life.

Easy to fake , easy to hoax . Easy to misinterpret. There are T shirts that go back that far. In the1930’s kids used to Make their own tshirts with phrases popular at the time. My mother had one. Sunglasses of all kinds existed. Jumping to a conclusion with little or no evidence is foolish at best.

Yeah, probably because this was some previously-unknown fashion trend.

The style of sunglasses first appeared in the 1920s. On first glance the man is taken by many to be wearing a modern printed T-shirt, but on closer inspection it seems to be a sweater with a sewn-on emblem, the kind of clothing often worn by sports teams of the period. The shirt is very similar to the one that was used by the Montreal Maroons, an ice hockey team from that era.

That camera he has is a box camera which was common back then. Looks like a Kodak brownie flash camera. That style of sunglasses was also very common.

I have an antique pair of welding glasses that look exactly like that. They are from the depression era. Also a simple google search will show you that small cameras did exist back then. Additionally screen printing came to the western world in 1907. So it was available. That is how you debunk something kids.

I saw this man in Toronto yesterday .... same cloths ...when asked he said that he is not a time traveler.

Looks like photo possibly came from Argus C3 which was the best camera that existed back then. It's most effective range was 14 feet, and any object 20+ft could not be identified or at the least would be very blurry. In the video we can see the people in the back, but we can also see the surrounding cars further back. someone would've had to of ran the picture through modern software for HD use. Because we can accurately see 85-100+ feet in the picture. I'm a mechanic for small engines, but when I was younger I got a job as a self employed photographer for hire. Only worked that side gig for about a year and a half. But I learned a lot about camera's and I find them somewhat fascinating. Just wanted to share my knowledge, ✌️
