Part of the reason Nagash killed everyone in Nehekhara was because chariot were just that OP.
No joke - that unit of chariots was the VIP of that whole damn match. Just steamrolled through chaff to keep them from swarming control points while staying under the radar so much the Bret player didn't even bother with them. If those things were hit by some of the grail knights and taken out early it would've broken the tip off TK's spear.
@Debilinside

Not sure. Those chariots are not that expensive, and probably would wasted a lot of time to chase them down. If the grail knight is chasing the chariot it cant apply pressure elsewhere. This was the perfect application of the principle give your opponent dilemmas, not problems. (as problems have solutions but dilemmas dont)

6:05 “Settra and his anti-large goon squad seem to be serving…” *SERVE?! SETTRA DOES NOT SERVE! HE RULES AS THE IMPERISHABLE KING OF KINGS!* Also now I want a similar bit like that to what Thorgrim says in the IE launch trailer, but instead of “SHORT?!” it’s Settra saying “SERVE?!”
11:11 for those interested, the god of the dead for the Tomb Kings is Usirian, who rules the underworld and judges the souls of the dead. And who is heavily suggested to be Morr, the god of death in the Empire.

He's also given a few boons to favourite child Settra if I remember the video from Sotek correctly. In the final chronology of which we do not speak I believe he was possibly weaker than Settra given how they both fared against Nagash.

It's campaign players using them to abuse the AI. Their world beaters if their allowed to run roughshod against infantry but against another human player they have to be used MUCH more carefully otherwise their gonna get focused down and die.

They're some of the most deadly warriors in the setting, they ought to be overtuned. And very expensive.
@sandercohen9712
Жыл бұрын
No they are not. They are bugged, which is the result of changing their size from medium (standard for regular cav) to large (standard for monstrous cav) this completely screws up their collision behaviour and allows them to push through endless hordes of infantry, which they shouldn't and even monstrous cav can not. They are a broken unit and I'm glad the bret player lost despite deploying the units liberally In addition, it's just a poor trend that bret heavy cav now has 84 speed and can keep up with wild riders, with grails having a whopping 120 armor. Grails are bugged and overbuffed.
@DALKurumiTokisaki
Жыл бұрын
@sandercohen9712 That's more a mark towards Wild Riders being the most neglected unit in the series. Outside their mass (it's their mass+acceleration doing wonky stuff) Grails are performing how they honestly should have especially for their current price point. Also even while glitched their still manageable due to them being liable to single target nuking, getting shot to death, and getting intercepted and bogged down by other Cavalry and monstrous units. Their price makes them a big investment also (their more expensive than Chorf Bull Centaurs even after their nerf who were notorious last patch).
All that talk about the Grail Guardians and it was the humble Skeleton Chariots that carried that game.
Main issue I see was early on Rusty has large targets to engage and chose to double down on Grail Guardians instead of pulling in Grail Knights to engage them. He then proceeds to use said Guardians to engage large targets.
Turin being (rightfully) salty about the pump wagons is hilarious xD

I loved that lol. Made me lose my shit
Not sure why, but players always toss their lords in unsupported. Generally, its better to win decisively on two points and lose decisively on one than bleed across three. If you crush a position, its far easier to leave a defending force and move to attack another area en mass. That makes the enemy respond by committing to an already losing fight or letting a second fight get lost. The Bretonnia player used maneuver effectively but not mass. Louen could have easily remained effective and far healthy for much longer. His effect on a position compared to two tomb princes are not the same. Basic principles of warfare still apply =)

I feel like it's definitely clearer for us with a spectator perspective at times especially since they might have been playing for a while with the impairment that can have on decision making. It's also sometimes just not cost efficient to support the lord when the support is almost guaranteed to die. This is sort of the case with Sigvald and Malus type lords where you can leave them unsupported to cause problems on a point and force your opponent to sacrifice troops into the wood chipper to slow them. That said, it's generally best to try contest all three points if only with a token effort on one of them. These players are far more skilled and experienced than me but if you don't occasionally threaten the third point with a skirmish unit or something the enemy will just take it and not bother to keep many troops on it so you're both fighting with your full force over two points but the enemy only needs to take one for the advantage while you need both which sort of cancels out the benefit of summoning in closer. There's also the benefit if you do manage to sneak the point off them where you're denying them score while reducing the amount of time you need to fight for the other two points. Naturally some factions like Dwarves and Cathay aren't as good at creating a serious threat of this as other factions like Slaanesh are but it's probably still worth sending a unit of horsemen or rangers to poke away at their point occasionally just so they have to keep some troops at home anyway. That's just my take though and t's largely dependent on unit micro and judgement of what units to send and at the right time which can be the skill difference.
Is no one going to talk about that chariot performance?! Chariots finally doing chariot things after so many patches.
Great to see that chariots are actually doing what they are supposed to right now.

I do love the chosen of the gods in campaign, but do they cover their cost in multiplayer? They always seem to get swarmed on and they're quite a slow unit overall. Do they make up their cost?
boil the frogs and steam the snails my fellow brets we eatin good
how do they choose the health values for units? The numbers are so weird, they must have some fine tuning method to get 8448 hp or whatever instead of just 8500. This still holds true when you divide by number of units or look at single entities
Glad to see another Turin narrated battle. Cheers!
feel as though people are misusing the lance formation. Should be used to punch through infantry, not running into the chosen of the gods (Ushabti). Wasting some of that sweet model on model action

Grail Knights instead of Guardians would have yieled far better results. I have no idea why he went with the latter; everything dangerous the Tomb Kings field is Large.

If you have overflow gold in your first army, do you get supplies refunded? My friend said you do, but I'm not sure because I've never noticed. Is it worth leaving overflow gold or should I just buy a few chevrons?
Skeleton horsemen are a menace in this game. Tomb kings just literally summon legions of skeletons in the domination. I once had 20+ min game against them on this map each of my units were over 250+ kills.

I hate how princes and kings are able to ride horses like they are nobility and nobility of nehekara doesn’t ride those dirty animals. They ride chariots and don’t touch the peasant animals

Felt good seeing the stupidly overpowered Brets lose.
For ze Lady 💖
Awww just seeing Necropolis Knights makes me sad, they are such trash in comparison to all the other heavy cav in the game now
You know of all the jokes we make and all the crap we give, as a community, I've never once heard anyone give female characters shit for being female. We might be racist as fuck (kill all dawi pls) however there isn't a shred of sexism to be found and that makes me proud of all us freaks and nerds.

Eh i believe most people are generally decent. Joking about dwarfs or elves are all in good fun cause they dont exist. Women do and being all insulting to them for no reason is just low and pointless. Most guys realise this.
Tomb kings need a rework or a buff, they've stayed essentially the same since launch and nearly never get to use their big constructs, which are the main appeal of their army.
@Debilinside

I think thats a general problem in the game. Very few faction can utilize single large monsters well. With all the shooting certain factions have they are just too vulnerable and most of them is rather slow.
@shiggydiggy6847
Жыл бұрын
The snake knights should be hitting harder at that price point, I think it would be fine if they were left as slow as they were, but statwise they are basically just demigryphs without lore of life as a support option. And their big monsters see no play, but that's basically true for every faction besides lizardmen. I don't what how to make khemrian warsphinxs and hydras viable without making them obnoxious with like overtuned healing.
@Debilinside
Жыл бұрын
@@shiggydiggy6847 They could fill the role similar to bullcentaurs, I think that would fit them quite well. TK already a quite slow and grind heavy faction. I think giving more missile resist in general to large monsters would be a good approach. Especially a construct, peppering it with arrows shouldnt really do much. You can still focus fire them down if you want, but then you will loose a lot of ammo doing so. Strong melee anti large infantry and heroes would be still a viable option. Alternatively you can give them more speed, thats why dinos work for Lizardmen. They are vulnerable but fast and hit hard, altough it would be comical to see a Khemrian wasphinx zooming trough the battlefield :D
