    @@phil00795 nonsense? if the tape is strong enough, it can keep your joint in a specific position. It's kinda obvious, you don't even need to be from a medical or fitness field to know this. You either overestimate the movement or underestimate the strength of the tape. In both cares, you're pretty naive

    @@RTHpriest and if you think your knee strength is stronger than a piece of industrialized rubber, then I encourage you to also research a bit more of how much strength it can generate

  • @RTHpriest

    @RTHpriest

    7 ай бұрын

    @@akiraic Listen, the knee can absorb up to 10x bodyweight during jumps. Rubber has tensile strength of 20mpa (megapascals), whereas ligaments can resist between 50 to 150 mpa. Also, industrialised and reinforced rubber is quite strong, i agree, but kinesio tape isn't anywhere near that. It might not even resist more than a hair(10mpa). Also, you quite clearly know nothing about the subject, so stop it with your condescending remarks, your hubris is showing.

    Totally disagree coming from my personal experience. As a dentist and EMT with some medical training I bring some natural skepticsm to benefit claims. But for myself with moderate chondromalacia and small meniscus tear I've found that using KT tape per KZread instructions gives me instant relief. I shower with it on and keep it on for almost a week and find that I get weeks to even months between knee pain returning. It's cheap compared to the alternatives, non-invasive and it works. The other comments seem to agree.

I have tried braces, wraps, shoes for knee pain, nothing worked. Until I tried This tape. I wrapped it just like the video shows, and when I stood up, there was no pain!! It works, as someone with hEDS i rely on KT tape and its applications to help guide my connective tissues into the right places. It reinforces and stabilizes my joints at various points. My knees can and will dislocate or worse stay in a sublaxed position from walking if they're not taped and have compression socks on. I have even tried custom made KAFOs but they're ineffective and bulky.

    LOL it's been like 7 years since my last ACL injury and reconscruction. (i've had 3 in my lifetime). KT tape is great, especially for helping the patella track properly after surgery. i also use it from time to time (like now) when i have random flare ups of discomfort. i see the same arguments from sciencey types and doctos who poo-poo tape but yet all the patients and people who actually have the felt experience loving the tape. geez, it's almost like the medical community is conspiring against us.

    As someone who had a ACL&MCL complete tear & a lat,Meniscus tear, and now uses K-Tape I fully agree, the tape is mainly so the brain knows where the knee is in time&space if you’ve had servers bc the damaged nerves can’t tell it, or if you haven’t had surgery, sometimes it helps give a little extra support and letting your brain know there is smth to be careful of there 🙂👍

As well as meniscus, arthritis, scar removal, and range of motion surgery to add up to 13 surgeries done on my knees in all. I have been taping them, spending 25$ a roll three times a month…75$ a month …out of my disability money mind you😔 … which only lasts me 5 days each wrapping…before it peels up an refuses to stick down anymore and needs replacement…PLEASE tell me if it’s not actually working!!!! This doesn’t answer the question of if it’s actually working for someone like me who is ACTUALLY in this situation!!!!
