    The definition of purpose is "the reason for existence". If there is a reason for my existence, then there must be a Creator who is able to reason and has the power to create me. The only way I can talk about selecting my purpose is if I redefine purpose and that is exactly what the young lady is doing. She is defining purpose as activities one might use to get a feeling (or sense) of having a purpose but it's just a feeling.
