I have never been injured doing bodyweight exercises like burpess and calisthenics. The only time I have been injured is ego lifting behind the neck barbell press and tore one of my rotator cuffs. Train hard, eat plenty, drink enough and sleep well and you'll be good to go...💪

Anything IW says about working out has to be taken as factual. He’s literally posted dozens of videos of himself doing high rep workouts. The evidence speaks for itself as to his knowledge and experience. Very glad to see you posting again and we all wish you a speedy recovery with your injury. Semper Fi!!

I've been doing this guys burpee routines for a couple of years now and honestly I can relate 100 % the only time I had any type of shoulder pain or ache was when I started over doing the weigted dips so thanks that just confirmed it salute my mind is now back at ease as never thought the wolf would get injured ❤

Been having issues with my shoulder. Taking days off is key, also keeping up on rotator cuff exercises for prevention. Thanks for the updates wolf 💪

Training smartly is not "making excuses". The training your recommend is overtraining and a guaranteed shoulder injury.

As usual the Wolf is right. I was doing high rep burpees every day. I rushed into increasing my reps. I didn't warm up or stretch and I did not really take any days off. What did I get? Tendonitis. Listen to Iron Wolf. Warm up, do not rush to get your reps to high levels. Take rest days. Drink water. Glad you are back Art!

From a sporting perspective, the Iron Wolf July Challenge was the best experience of my life. This high number of daily 6ct burpees. I could still rave. All without injuries. The videos are simply legendary for me.

I find that many of the IW workouts start with some sort of buy-in set of reps to get you ready for the high pumps. Never had an injury from IW sessions!

@@Crypto4always Exactly. Its all a load management issue. If you do too much too soon without proper recovery you will get injured. If you build it up slowly and recover properly it will make you more injury resistant.

I am glad to hear this. I have been doing burpees for 20 minutes 4 days a week since january but I am having trouble with my elbows. My elbows are fine during the workout, but afterwards I notice elbow pain. I have tried to improve my form in the press up but that doesn't seem to be helping. Maybe the problem is not warming up or eating properly.

Your shouldn’t isolate what happens to you form the high reps you have been accustomed to doing - the two are likely linked. Also, there are different types of injuries to consider.

  • @danielrn133

"likely linked". Based on what? Are you an MD? Or you just "know this". Or the burpees could have presented the injury from occurring sooner. The stupidity of you tube comments are amazing.

Burpee Mat is used for all kinds of exercises especially abdominal work, wrapping wrists supports them and actually makes your reps cleaner. Has nothing to do with injuries. I did more reps than you can count with burpees and never got injured doing them
