Thanks Adanna. I'm 33 planning to finish my bachelor and start my journey to PA-C. I took the health administration route and love it, buy I still have a PRN position on the floors at my hospital. Mom of 4. I've gotta fulfill my dream.

This is great. I just graduated from San Diego State University with a bachelors in Business , but I plan on going to my local community college to complete those science courses .

Since I work at a hospital now , the doctors were recommending me to take the science courses at a 4 year university instead of a community college. Do you think that would make a huge difference in my acceptance ?

Hey Adanna, new subscriber here for the past few months and absolutely LOVE your channel. I was premed until my last semester of undergrad and I switched to Pre-PA (ironically this was my first choice when I started at my school) and was completely blindsided by how different the two application processes are and how standardized each school is. My question for you is (if you read this) I graduated and applied for the first time this cycle to find out to my surprise that my science GPA was lower than a 3.0 (2.92). This immediate rejected me from almost all of my choices and now I'm left wondering what can I do now? Should I repeat courses at a community college level this year and apply with updated transcripts for next cycle or should I just see how this year plays out? I definitely would recommend adding more CASPA navigating and grade calculating material in your channel to help incoming freshman. I'm now in this game of being rejected from schools because my science gpa is lower than they need and can't retake prerequisites because I've already graduated/the school doesn't offer grade replacement and will only average my updated grades. You have been my saving grace and guide throughout this challenging change for me and fingers crossed one of my last five schools offer me an interview this cycle Thanks for everything y'all do!

So for sure I would say start taking classes now. I'm a big proponent of and don't sit and wait. So as you are going through this cycle and you're still waiting to see if schools accept you / offer you an interview you should leave a praying for the worse essentially which is being rejected by all the schools so therefore you now need to retake classes. I'll make a more, detailed in depth vid about this in the upcoming weeks

Hey Adanna, Loved this video and honestly gave me some relief, so thank you! I was just wondering what you thought about retaking those intro courses like chem 1/2 and bio 1/2, given that you did way better in the higher-level courses in those subject areas. Do you think it would be something that should be done despite having those higher grades in the higher level courses, even if your sGPA is being dragged down because of it? Thanks!

If they are Cs and they are negatively affecting your gpa then yeah. Do it because it will only help.

Ok I need an answer, I failed 3 or 4 of my classes in middle school, they tell me middle school doesn’t matter but I don’t know what happens if you fail them. Btw I failed since I could not focus online

hey adanna, i'm entering my junior year in college and realize that the total PA school application is super long. My plan is to potentially start PA school the fall after I graduate college, so I'm thinking about applying next spring/summer toward the end of my junior year. Do you happen to know if most PA schools allow this due to the fact that I won't have my bachelors when applying? Thank you!

Hi Adanna, I’m a foreign medical graduate & don’t have any US degree but now looking for PA school. Is it ok if I take all prerequisite courses from community college?

Hey Adanna, I wanted to ask does it matter what college you graduate from when getting into PA school. Like does it matter if I graduate from a big known school or is it the same as if I graduated from an “alright” school, meaning that there’s better than it.

Question If I may, my son's GPA took a dive only because of OChem, some PA schools do not need Ochem, should he retake them anyways after graduation. Thank you in advance.

@Ay-yoo Thank you for getting back to me. He took 3 semesters of OChem classes grades c and c- and Labs where A, B & C the rest of his transcript have no C at all. Majored in Microbiology. Now he needs Anatomy and which other classes should he take in CC. He is dreading taking it again. Science GPA 2.88 so he should retake just to get this part up?

@Ay-yoo Appreciate your time, all his upped division science classes are A's and B's but they are calculated separately. do you recommend any other classes in CC other than Anatomy (that's the only prerequisite he needs)
