Why would u compare assetto evo on pc with the ps4 version of gt7? It makes no sense at all, the ps5 version has ray tracing n way better reflections, lighting, resolution, detail n every other thing.

I think he meant more along the line’s of Gt7 being built based off & compatible with both last gen (PS4) and current Gen (PS5) console compared to ACE is only compatible with PC. With that in mind, it really shows the detail behind GT7.

Also gt7 is more then just a racing game, cars are more then racing, there a peice of art, and people love visually modding and looking at them. Especially in the gt7 showroom in v.r this stuff matters but obviously not at the expense of physics.

@@Leron_T assetto already has near peak physics, and ffb, so graphics is the obvious next step, it aint just a blur, the scenery n graphics adds alot to the game, the immersion.

@@Sideways_Singh Assetto Corsa physics are weak at best. Without modding the game is horribly outdated. Even ACC is rather bad. It desperately needs an update for sure in many aspects of the game. That said graphics are a must. Physics will NEVER be great on a computer. No g-forces, no proper vibrations, even force feedback on high end wheels is NOT the same as having your hands on a real car wheel. Period. Since it's a fact that we can't fully emulate cars we should at least have proper sounds and graphics. It's a game after all and so it should provide a great experience. If you want full blast physics go play beamng

@@kontoname by physics I mean in terms of handling, the car handles the way it does in real life, and for ffb it makes u feel like ur drivig a car and gives u the info u need which assetto corsa acheives, it could be slightly better but its already near the peak n no sim does it better. Crash physics dont matter, as long as it breaks when u hit hard enough lol.

I think the main differences in the cars, is that in GT7, the poly count of the cars is much higher in the showroom than they are on the track. I guess ACE's are the same models in the showroom as they are on the track. Differences in textures could be also down to the individual model/trim level or edition or even model year. GT games have always looked amazing in motion though, particularly replays. No racing game does it better. It always looks so natural and like an actual video been captured from a camera. No texture fighting or z fighting, no bad aliasing and beautifully subtle motion blur.

Yeah, they probably have a separate model for photo mode. The ACE team probably don't care for that, they could easily surpass GT7 poly count if they wanted to.

That at 2:21 is the stupidest argument I ever see, people keep saying something about rendering is bad at that point... WHICH IS BEYOND MY POINT OF VIEW! IDGAF how it looks like beyond the track, I don't care, might as well complain the game doesn't render yourself in realtime in UK; it's f stupid af and stop it. This is not a Kireth banter, I like the dude, I hate that people keep doing this. Yeah imagine that, thing that's not on your screen is not rendered, hence saving resources, hence being more optimized. If it doesn't serve a purpose, it has no purpose.

Ya'll really worried about the details of trees and cars in sim racing? When you're in that cockpit view none of those things really matter. Sure you might glance at the scenery occasionally, but that's about it. I'm sure the game will look decent enough when it comes out.

I miss racing content. Loved the videos breaking down races. The racing school. Did some drifting content even made a series. Those videos were awesome. I miss the gt sport early gt7 days of your content. These are still good just miss the older format.

I don't know how any of these shots can tell us anything. I mean doesn't GT7 have more detail in the showcase mode? Has it been confirmed if this is the case also for EVO? Or are those the actual in race models? This alone changes things. Comparing a photo mode with different details to actual in-race detail. That being said, I am actually surprised EVO has that seemingly lower res on some of the details like headlights. There are modded cars in AC with better geometry :/ Everything else looks just bliss. Some of the details are indeed too small to notice whilst racing, and EVO is still in pre release. From there on, handling and physics is as important as visuals, and in this department, going by what we have seen so far in AC and ACC, EVO is going to blow GT7 out of the water completely in the handling department unless they totally fumble and drop a potato turd on our lap that needs 100 hot fixes and 10 patches to polish up. This is also quite possible. Now for those saying visuals aren't important. Cope harder. They are AS important as everything else. Anyone saying otherwise is just making excuses. The first thing our brain perceives in a video game is the visuals. THIS is our first and our most constant connection to the game or any game. Whether it be cartoon, realism, or whatever else, the visual fidelity, quality and style needs to be the best it can be for each case. Anything less is a joke in todays market. There is no reason to not have one or the other (gameplay, or graphics). And in this case of simulating the real thing, you bet your ass its important people. Yeah, I want to feel like I am THERE. That is the point of the simulation. The more real it looks the better the immersion. If someone does not feel this, I feel sorry for them or they are just biased. Going on a track with high detail, and feeling like you are actually in the cockpit at the location.... Its palpable. The small details may not be noticed, but they sure add to the feel. I am kinda disappointed in the geometry in some parts in EVO. Actually quite disappointed. It looks so great as a whole, but those small geometry details are disappointing for me. At the same time, interior is way better in EVO. Looks like they dropped even more detail to an aspect that is much more steady and close up to our view? Because those interiors blow GT7 out of the water again. Even at 6:40 ... lol. Wrong, the geometry in EVO is again better here. The buttons in GT7 also look like just assets with gaps, whilst EVO looks like they are connected over a shared plastic/material with a groove in them. The grooves in the spinner knob are probably a map in GT7, the only aspect I see missing in EVO, unless if the model they went on didn't have this detail. Generally, resolution or not, the interior of EVO is actually better. Another nice comparison is the gear shifter picture, other channels have compared it. Again, the stitching in EVO, the materials, the geometry, even that rubber/leather around the shifter.... On another level. But again as some said these differences are small. They are definitely important to the whole feel, but they are indeed small. What I am more curious about is the lighting model in EVO as a whole. The shots we have are great and all, but I want to see a LOT more to properly understand its lighting model. GT7 has an amazing lighting model. THIS is a larger area of contention in my opinion on the visual side of things, and will create the overall entire feel of the game. Will EVO feel and look like an actual real picture when you pause it like GT7 does? This is greatly due to GT7's lighting. Its simply just brilliant. End of the day, overall I see EVO to be (again unless they fumble it) way better in GT7 in almost every way. One can hope they stick the landing. And the fact that a small studio with 1 tenth the budget and profits of Polyphony is doing such amazing work is the biggest takeaway in all this. Well done to Kunos. Now, if modding is also supported (which they kinda hinted in the past it will be), I can foresee EVO being untouchable for plenty years to come. Modding even kept AC alive for far way longer than its initial launch ever dreamed of. One can imagine where we can go from here with EVO. Those are pretty much my opinions on all this. And again, this is just speaking about visuals. The other half of the equation is the racing itself. And if they stick the landing, I think we can rest assured that overall its going to be an experience that GT7 simply wont be able to match. Time will tell. Perhaps ALL this is better in EVO on the final release and the game lacks in both content and single player things to do which GT7 also boasts. Much can happen. But on a clean sim racing perspective, I think we are in for a treat.

Things that stand out to me that you didn't mention much besides model quality are colors, shadows and especially lighting. That's what for me gives GT7 the advantage.

Right, so we'll compare AC Evo using high-end PC specs to the PS4 version of GT7 that was built to run at 60fps using a decade-old PS4 hardware. That's just great. Might as well have Sugar Ray Leonard fight a prime Mike Tyson.

Did Assetto not originally be for PC off the cuff, but I still recall my friend turning down the graphics for a smoother outcome in his games, his PC was decent but not a monster which was probably required to push the textures, I think there is a fine balance to the requirement we want realism but not a distraction, I guess GT has always had yoi focused on what's in front, but trial mountain at the right time of day with the sun beaming through the trees down the straight was always pretty enough imho...

I think ACE had to sacrifice car model detail for track model detail. Hopefully if mods are gonna be a thing in ACE this can easily be fixed.

At 1:20 I got confused because thats not the breidscheid corner it's the wehrseifen corner, I was trying to find irl photos to compare. Anyways besides the inside corner catch fench GT7 is closer to real life by far.

"we know how that went" let's stop pretending Forza Motorsport didn't put GT7 deplorable circuits (with 2d cardboars trees and poor detail) to shame. You even have a Nordschleife video comparison where anyone can see the huge advantage in graphics Forza has over GT7.

this statement is just so completely wrong. GT7 circuits are more realistic, not just nords. Forza has incorrect spammed trees everywhere. How could the game be called Motorsport then incorrectly represent the most important part of motorsport? Forza just slathered random assets everywhere to make it feel lively and distract from their inaccurate and recycled old tracks that just *maybe* got some texture changes. Anyone who bought the new FM was basically robbed without a gun.

finally a game that can rival and possibly beat gt7 in default graphics with no mods, cuz lets be real if assetto corsa could look better than gt7 with content manager and a ppfilter, then assetto corsa evo would just straight up look like real life, since the default lighting and model quality are already life like. I really hope they improve the model detail some more so you can take really close up photos and fool people into thinking it real life 🤣

Not a really good comparison as it isn’t doesn’t represent how the car will look when on track. Model comparison of cars in studio garage vs on track are not the same on GT7.

On pc i expect ac evo to proably look better than gt7 given gt7 is cross gen and hold back by its hardware, on the same plstform through gt7 will most likely be the better looking game, One huge credit to ac evo seems to be the car models the only so far that can rival gt7 car models, yes a lot better than forza models

Its very strange when it comes to GT7 graphics. This game can look phenomenal photoreal and completely awful at the same time.

Even if they just have ACC quality, it's above everything else out. BUT ... and it's an important BUT ... ACC doesn't look great in VR. There is something about how anti-aliasing works on remote objects in that engine that always makes that game look weird on distant objects. Compared to AMS2. AC, iRacing or F1 (23), ACC has *something* that makes it look worse in VR. That said, the interiors are absolutely amazing. Every time I switch from iRacing to ACC, I am amazed how crap iRacing cars look inside and out, and how amazing ACC cars are... when you miss the green light because you are staring the screw attaching the opening to the plexi side window :O and/or other gadgets next to you where your passenger seat is normally.

Why do you compare a pc based Assetto to a GT7 on last gen console? 😅 This video is absolutely worthless.

Both games look stunning overall! While the car models are technically better in GT7, this is really like pixel peeping/splitting hairs.. not really useful in actual racing! No doubt, the tracks themselves are better in Evo. One area where Evo will absolutely beat GT7: tire physics. I have no doubt that in this department, Kunos will probably knock this out of the park! Having said this, I know that GT7 is not aiming for realistic tire physics... but when that game continues to use "The Real Driving Simulator" tag, sorry, but no, not even close! At the end of the day though, both products rock (in differing ways). If you prefer the exceptionally polished sim-cade side of things, GT7 is the way to go.. but if you want more realism, more sim and no cade, I suspect the Evo will be the weapon of choice, hands down! We have many choices! Good times ahead, either path you choose!

Come on now buddy...(in a middle aged white man from alabama voice) It isnt out yet and we havent really seen much at all. Just a thimble full of what they wanted to show. I can understand analyzing and being critical but i personally think that should come wjem we have something more substantive to what will be released to consumers. I remember when i messed all my assetto corsa settings and ended up playing for a week until i figured out how to fix it. I had more fun playing Assetto with no shaders or filters....the OG way than GtSport/GT7/Forza....combined.

Watching you slowly read a screen is not that interesting by the way.

But Grand Turismo 7 is already beaten by the OG Assetto Corsa with mods :) Sorry, I know that GT7 graphics are very detailed, and in terms of polygons AC can't compete, but in terms of looking REALISTIC, sorry but Gran Turismo has always had that "look" that was just too plastic'ey / suger'ay. Same thing goes for the SOUND in GT7, it's way more "fake" sounding than many of the sounds from OG Assetto Corsa. To be honest, I'm a bit scared that Assetto Corsa EVO will look LESS realistic than modded Assetto Corsa... more detailed, but less realistic. Hopefully it will be opened to mods also and that will in fact give us the best sim racing game of all time :)

You are clearly tripping. Gt7 has more photorealistic look on the cars than any racing game on the market including ac with mods, sounds is not always great in ac either.

First of all. Evo isn't actually out yet, so there's really nothing to compare. Second, Evo is a much up to date game that's just coming out, comparing to an older PS4/PS5 game. So, Evo should be better graphic wise. If not, ACC wasted their time. In the long run, Evo should be better for now. What's going to happen when GT8 comes out?!

AC Evo looks so damn real, whereas GT7 looks like a game. I have little bit fear that those EVO screenshots are not real ingame shots. If yes it is absolutely incredible! We will see how smooth it will run in VR

Gt7 looks a lot like reallife very photorealistic realistic graphics pretty much on par what we already seen in ac evo. You can even trick people thst gt7 cars looks like reallife, not just in,scapes but also on the tracks.

The graphics aren't that impressive now... if you take a closer look at the picture of the engine interior, for example, it looks terrible... ray tracing isn't supported either, as it looks.. well, I'm a little disappointed
