Im not sure about you guys but when it comes to sim racing the quality of graphics is quite far down the list of what im lookin for. 1st physics, 2nd quality of racing, 3rd cars/classes available, 4th probably gfx quailty. Thats just me.

I'm actually more impressed by the way they render the road surface. If you've ever had a track walk on any of those racetracks you'll know what I mean. It's a small detail but it looks spot on. Let's hope the driving is spot on too and not as laggy and bouncy as ACC. Fingers crossed.

3:35 there's no raytraced reflections in any of these screenshots. The models and materials are top tier, however the cars lack internal reflections. This is most evident in complex bodywork that should reflect itself, or in interiors that only reflect the bright room outside. It gives a slightly glowy look in places and it's the only gripe I have with any of the visuals. Graphics aren't most important, but raytracing would be nice to have down the line if this game is going to last for as long as the original.

Really really really hope this game runs well with a 4080 and Quest 3. Looks like it could be the next step in racing sims for sure. It's all about that mod support though.. Needs to be there from day 1.

I mean considering their optimization, probably run alright on a 3060-70, fine on medium settings with 2k series

In terms of car quality (textures, paint, etc), I'm pretty sure everything that mentioned or shown in the official screenshots are already happened in the original AC with proper mod, ppfilter, and screenshot settings.

Except ACE won't have those mods at launch

Does anyone know if the Civic FK2 Type R will be in the game? I have it modded in the original AC and some swedish tracks aswell. Its really mindblowing how realistic AC is. My best lapp time in the fk2 Type R at Kinnekulle Ring ingame was a few hundreds of a second off from my IRL best Lap time. Also those modds are relly well done. I got a better lap time now in the game. But my last irl trackday was on regular street tires. Im running semi slicks now so should be faster next time. :D

Do we know snyting about PSVR2?

AutomotiveVP also complained and pointed out the terrible curbs on the Nordschleife, before it was ever fixed.

He does great comparisons videos, sometimes I want to dumb my Forza on the trash after watching the videos lol 😅

One thing that I have learned with games > pictures and videos say nothing until you have played the game yourself , for example Forza motorsport , looked good but was buggy and did not work liked promised , I will buy this game only after the full release , and have looked at gamplay from youtubers .

This is super exciting - might force me to change my rig so i can play on PC as well. 😁

I could laugh at people already making terrible speculations for racing games that aren’t even out yet 🤣🤣🤣

Really hope this title isn't hold back by the console versions.

The difference when it comes to the concept cars is that those in GT included many that were never functional in real life (as in, they were not driveable). Those in the footage are concept cars that actually have been driven in real life during events such as Goodwood Festival of Speed. Both of these were present last year and went up the hill on multiple occasions.

Can't wait, it's in the wishlist, I hope my expectation are met.

My decision to buy depends entirely on mod support... and I bought all DLCs from AC... If there's no mod support I won't buy it as I did not buy ACC... Simple as that...

If it doesn't have v r 2 for consoles supported , it's not for me

Will it come to consoles? Or we have to wait?

I feel at this point in sim racing.....im curious what they will do with MP, really tired of 3rd party mp racing, and there mp in acc was horendous. Hopefully the game can be better than gt7/forza in the mp department

I really hope this brings the main sim community to this title. Having us strung out across ac, acc, iracing, and gran Turismo, really limits server choices and population.

As an ACC player, my main worry is that ACE will fix some of the problems ACC has but then it might not be as competitive friendly as ACC is. Driver swaps (multiple player teams), the weather system, in game procedure (how the races start) are the points I think have to be changed from ACC.

I could die happy if AC2 has the Isle of Man TT track.

They did confirm the mod support in an interview with the Devs over a year ago

Will it release on ps5?

All I hope is that we will still have the GTWC content flowing through Ac EVO

They have to fix the motion sickness of VR. The moment I turn my head while moving, I get insanely sick for the rest of the day. The first time I ever used a quest 2 I could not look at a monitor or phone screen for almost 2 weeks without some nausea

For 24 hour races we need to have AI driver swaps and the ability to save the game mid race, I'd suggest during driver swaps.

Some of the most popular fan created maps are designed to evoke an open world feel. I hope ACE will give us some massive "open world" maps (even better with NPC traffic)

I would love to see improved AI for single player as well as some realistic damage modeling. Also fingers crossed on the modding. Great still images though.

What about cross platform?

I think Kunos will withhold 3rd party mods until they are at a point that actively producing in house new content and DLC packages for the game are at their end of life and they are ready to move on to their next project. After all the studio is in the business of making a profit and considering several years of work and development are invested to bringing such a title to market it only makes sense for such project to be financially worthwhile that the first couple of years all development and new content results in profits for the studio. I think the modding will be opened up after Kunos is through with the game and producing new content.

For me, being Assetto Corsa with CSP mod with rain, simply the best rain looking simulation on ANY racing car EVER (yes, better than GT7, ACC, iRacing, Automobilista, etc), I am concern about how good will be the AC Evo rain?, let's hope that at least look as good as the AC with CSP mod rain version.

I don't think GT3 representation is going to be an issue for those that like ACC. It really doesn't take that many cars to replicate a modern up to date GT3 grid. And from a business perspective it would be weird for Kunos to ignore that class. There wouldn't be a roster of all the different GT3s of the last 6 years of SRO GT3. But most won't care about that. There will also finally be the possibility of having prototypes in multiclass races. As long as AC Evo doesn't go backwards in features, and I don't see why it would, I see it being a place for ACC players.

I hope it comes quickly to console !! Really want to do multi class endurance races

These awesome pictures but what about the physics what is the most important part of a simulator? The physics of AC and ACC gives me not that real natural feeling like AMS1 and 2 does.

With possibility for modding, this game can be an ultimate racing sim. For developers (game&enthusiasts) and for players.

No not for me, car sounds in cockpit view are not realistic and sound very generic, copied and far from real life. Graphics also are good and very bad with lots of pop in and glitching. I had very hi hopes for Forza but it's been a disappointment 😞

Instead I have to be penalized every time some monkey crashes on me even when I literally give them the whole road for free to avoid their bullshit

Dynamic time of day is as standard in a racing game as air conditioning is in cars now days.

I'd would honestly play it in its alpha state right now and be damn happy about it 😂

Mod or not, 2024 could end up being the best year ever for sim racing…

if they don't have mod support they are shooting themselves in the foot. I can say for myself I probably wont even buy it if they dont. I'm hoping Kunos can "read the room" and recognize the factors that made AC as sucessful as it is

If it does, probably the newer ones.

This game is tough because it has to be a definitive improvement to assetto corsa to not be absolutely destroyed in the reviews. It will also split the community if it isn't great. They have an extremely hard bar to beat. I have confidence they will release something good, just not necessarily that it will be better than the first sim.

for it to be a grand turismo killer, it needs a good single player experience and decent controller support. i dont think its coming with any of those but i could be wrong.

With wheels and with Controllers. If you remove force feedback in ac is almost impossible to drive it. You can try for yourself. WHY?!?🤔

If gran Turismo wasn’t dead already then the moment this comes out it absolutely will be. I’ve seen posts stating it’s 1000% coming to console ps5, series x just possible a slight delay like the dlc comes a bit after for console. The only way polyphony can compete is to completely ditch the current game engine. Build a totally new game engine, have all upto date 2024 cars/race cars, full damage physics and visible damage, full weather, full day night time choice, radically different handling physics, actual sound recording of each car not the hoover sounds we have now. Is that likely no polyphony will put out the same sh@t we got with gt7 which will fail and be horse sh1t.

The only way any racing game can even be remotely in the same ballpark as GT7 on console is if they support VR. Otherwise its just an oldschool 2D console game which not many will deeply care about on console.

How can it be a Gran Turismo killer when it’s a 20+ year household name and a console seller? AC was good, but people most except hardcore sim racers know what it is. I am hoping it will be like iRacing for consoles so the online support needs to be strong.

anything that makes PD and Turn10 take notice is to be welcomed, I agree with you that GT7 is one of the worst GTs ever, it has the potential but has failed to evolve and does not listen to its player base, at least Turn10 listen and continue to develop Forza which it needed to.

Hopefully it provides absolutely no mod support.

I dont think they'll beat iracing, but I hope so!

I am praying that they actually make an effort to optimize the game for VR. ACC runs like crap in VR and even AC feels terrible compared to Automobilista 2.

Of course... I mean what kind of a modern age snowflake would you be if you could be satisfied by something?

I suspect that at first, there will be no modding available.. but down the road, perhaps towards the end of EVO's life cycle, they will open it up. Allowing mods right out the gate could seriously damage revenue potential as mentioned in the video. I just want an updated visual and tire physics experience (ok, enhanced AI, a great career mode, great single and multiplayer experience, etc..) For me, modding takes a back seat (see what I did there?) Let's hope it releases in a much better state than ACC did!

in aN interview one of the devs hinted that chances are high that they will give us backwards compatibility with old mods. so we can use our old car mods from AC in AC Evo. And he meantioned that modders for AC are their baseline for quality that they want to achieve in AC Evo (and going beyond) His direct talking about modders and praising them for keeping AC alive really sounds that they will think of us and support us. And i agree, probabaly we dont see modding support for cars and tracks until every last Add-On by Kunos got released. Until then things like paint, livery, sounds etc. and weather can (probabaly) be modded. And after the last add on we probabaly get full access to car and track mods. (that would make the most sense when talking about making money)

Comparing GT7 with ACC 😂 Im baffled, GT7 is an arcade game ACC is the best Sim game on the market. I was hyped for GT7 when i had a ps5 and Fanatec wheel, i was so disapointed with the game i played it for 2h to never touch again. No feeling at all compared to ACC!

I am interested in how the game plays, does it have rolling starts, and do they have several American tracks???? I hope this is not another GT racing game, don't we have enough of those already. It is wait and reviews after game is released, till then, this is all hype.

I really wish Grand Turismo was as good as you think it is. ACC is so much better and more realistic, this new assetto corsa will blow everything else away I think.

the first mistake was comparing them each other as even competitors. they serve a totally different purpose and audience. GT7 is a arcade-simulator while ACC is a "hardcore" simulator. People that make fast lap times in GT7 would simply crash when they jump into ACC. GT7 is really easy to begin with. U get ur PS5, u get the game and u can go. ACC needs more time to set up and needs WAY longer to learn until u start to be a good driver. And especially for people who invest real money into a sim rig, its way better in the long run. And there are many people out there that dont like to drive real simlators. They like easier, more arcade style handling. Thats why Forza and GT7 have such a big player base (alltough Forza is the worst modern racing game)

ACC doesn’t feel that good either tbh. The cars just feel too heavy imo they have no play and sometimes when you lose them you can’t make any corrections like the car is on rails.

FFS Evo is a flop in the GFX department, they should have gone the UE5 Route, just look at the ugly grass, trees and shitty simple buildings! What a waste....

I was wondering - this is the second time I see Kireth driving in a sim and frankly his driving seems terrible. I mean amateur first time on track terrible (I've seen him driving at LeMans and his lines were way off, using half of the tracks width just as he does at Bathurst). And then I see links for coaching. Am I missing something?
