I used a gas grill for everyday usage. It’s more convenient and I’m a wiz on making the most of gas. Once can still get the Smokey flavor you just have to put in a little extra work. I keep a smaller charcoal for the weekend. It takes more work but there is just sometimes about charcoal.

This debate had no real answer. For some, grilling is more about the experience than just the food and they love the challenge of mastering the flame while others prefer convenience. In general, charcoal is best for high heat searing and gas for dependable temp control, especially with infrared which evens out the heat.

For me I just fire low on one side and a modified charcoal on top of a gas burner on the other side and me BBQ food in the middle. Indirect heat BBQ basically. Depends what I cook. For ribs about 3 hours, crispy outside and juicy inside yumm

I'm a charcoal loyalist but I could find one of those hybrids interesting. But I will never use a grill that's gas only.

I LOVE charcoal. But sometimes I want a burger or steak but dont want to wait cuz it's getting dark or late. So. Instead of a pizza or a sub. I'd rather spend the cash on a twofer grill
