@@EshayAdlay2304 I think it looks slow because we think the rooms smaller then it is. I’m pretty sure it’s the size of a football field which means that balls moving. Think a qb throwing a Hail Mary looks slow but isn’t.

@@Spooky-4000 it’s not the size of a football field? It’s half the size at 52m. Jai alai is the only sport where the players try to make it look extremely dangerous when it’s no more dangerous then any other hard high speed ball games.

Yeah I believe some throws may be 150 mph but most of them are under 100

This may be a stupid question but why doesn’t the guy “throwing” the ball just get in the way and “defend” his shot? He kinda got in the way of his own shot at the end. Almost like screening the goalie in hockey

That wasn't that fast, would have hurt a little bit that's all.

so basically the strat is stand in front of the opponent so they can't move, or guard the ball, then dodge it. Games like this are kinda dumb in the fact that you can "accidentally" block your opponent off and win.

That is so lame compared to what professional jai alai looked like even 10-15 years ago.

I’m not to sure this jai alai the calls go 150 in the professional jai alai sure this is played with a different ball and a differently made fronton

But I can assure you they are throwing that ball over 100 mph becasue I’ve played both at an amateur court like this with a hard plastic ball and at a real pro jai alai fronton and have been to the Milford fronton decades ago where they held a special night and recorded the speed with a. Fun right next to all the players one by one , and a couple guys reached around 155 I believe , it’s way faster than a pitcher throwing 100 with just there arm
