Pilots were working hard on this approach, nice landing despite the storms.
This has to be one of the nicest landings I’ve ever seen, your channel is hella underrated bro

I have family in Phoenix and when I was a kid we visited them. Upon leaving, a huge thunderstorm was approaching the field and I’ve never experienced such a quick departure. We were on an America West 737-200 and boy that pilot got us out of there fast. He must have had a hot date that night and didn’t want to get delayed lol.

That's a pretty vibey video. Thanks for the clip. PHX is always a good time.
This pilot and crew rocks and rolls and my brother-in-law is a pilot. But this guy is awesome....after COVID-19 flying with you someday.😚🙏😘👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Wow! Such a cool video. I have my flight that I've been prepping for coming up on Thursday out of PHX, so I've been watching a lot of your videos coming in/out of this airport. I'm so glad that the monsoon season is over (although from the ground it's one of my favorite times of the year). I've always wondered how pilots navigate landings during monsoon when the sky is thick with thunderstorms for as far as the eye can see because I thought they weren't able to fly into storm clouds. Obviously with their instrumentation and extensive knowledge, they can tell the difference between the types of the clouds they can/can't fly into and find the breaks. I just think that's really interesting! This pilot did a great job! As always, thank you for taking the time to share these videos with us and share your love for aviation! Safe travels during your next adventure!

I’m glad you enjoyed this one! Aircraft also have built on radar systems, as well as sophisticated wind shear detection systems to aid the pilots in knowing where they can and can’t fly when there are storms around. All things that have been perfected over the years to make aviation so safe 😊.
One of my most turbulent landings on a plane ever was at this airport.
Those looked like intense storms 😮
Unusual to see storms like this in PHX in Feb!!

All your videos are awesome, but this is something else! 😎😎😎 And can you try DEN - PHX sometime? That’s the route I fly the most. 😎

Although I have plans to be in PHX and DEN in the future, at the moment, I don't have anything booked from DEN-PHX. I'll see what connections I might be able to find for future trips though!
I applaud the skill and experience of pilots maneuvering tons of metal (and humans) from point A to point B under normal conditions; let alone through storms. Another pleasant, professional video, sir. Keep up the great work! By the way, what is the name of that "piano jingle" towards the end of every video? It's very soothing...

That would be Fragments by Sappheiros. I’m on my phone, so I don’t have the link to post, but the link to the song is in every video description.
Thunderstorms usually happen in the monsoon months, which start in late July and they end in late August/early September, I don't know about the weather you experienced in February but I'd say that was a regular rain storm, if it were a monsoon thunderstorm you would have seen a lot more lightning. Nevertheless, the flight crew did a great job guiding the Airbus A321 onto runway 25R using the ILS.

Did PHX shut down due to the storm right after you guys landed (I asked this question in the full version of this flight video)?

No, the airport was on the backside of the storm. I believe they did have a ground stop before we arrived though.
So beautiful as usual.Just curious do you get nervous in heavy turbulence or are you just used to it?

sound is a bit awful, do you have like a gopro that is stuck to the window and that is why it is picking up that distortion?
@sla31
3 жыл бұрын
No, I do not use GoPro's at all for the specific reason that their audio quality is junk. And no, I hold the camera by hand, specifically to minimize both the audio and visual distortions. Overall, I'd actually disagree with you that the audio is awful. I think my channel has some of the best audio quality of any aviation channel. What you're hearing here is simply the wind & cabin noise being captured accurately. What I believe you're referring to is what I call the cabin noise. It's all the plastic panels, windows, seats, overhead bins, etc. They all vibrate during the flight and add to the white noise. It's not that my equipment is bad, or because I have it on a mount that is connected to the plane. In fact, like I said, I hold the camera by hand to avoid that. It's just the normal sounds that you hear on every flight.
Damn..what graphics card you using?

All videos on my channel are shot by hand. I do not use any type of gimbal.
I remember back in early August of 2000. Flying into Tucson, there was no dodging any Tstorms. We flew right through it and by the grace of God and great pilots we landed safely. I looked up while walking to my car and there was lighting everywhere. The stillness on the plane was eerie to say the least. I rethought my life. Glad I experienced it however.
