The most impressive play for me was the ball Mookie pulled into left off the left-hander. 97 coming in on him and he still can get his hands inside the baseball and pull shows just how quick his hands really are!

I worked 70 to 100 hrs a week for 30+ years. Driving Truck across America and Canada. I would actually welcome a game at ANY hour. Baseball is the most incredible sport there is… Then “Manfred “ came along. Either way, MLB channel is actually “allowing”’ us to watch the game for free.

I woke up at 3am and watched it on my computer.

I was always jealous of mlb fans in North America enjoying the games at night while drinking beer or something, especially on the weekend. (In Japan, most mlb games start in the morning...) So I'd been really looking forward to this game, which started at 7p.m. in my country. And one thing I realized last night was drinking beer at night is a much healthier habit than drinking it in the morning.

It happens, I've seen it several times. Those gloves with just a few thick straps can break if a ball is it hard. I've never seen it on a groundball though. It was either a line drive before or even a throw from an infielder breaking a first baseman's glove.

That stadium is a solid model for a small market, stateside team seeking a capacity of say 25,000.

If there's one thing to take away from this series, it's that MLB needs Cheerleaders. Not the like the ones in the NFL or NBA. I'm talking like those people they had dancing on top of the Dugouts this game. We need that HYPE in the MLB!

I woke up at 2:55 am to see darvish pulled before 4 innings and a ball phase through the glove of Cronenworth. Tough. There were a few missed third strike calls for the Padres pitchers, but I also remember Machado walked on a very obvious strike on 3-0 which was BS. At one point when Freeman was coming into 2nd on a potential GIDP, he didn't slide and HSK double pumped because he would have launched the ball into Freeman's teeth. HSK is a good guy.

Unpopular opinion: I don't think two teams should start the regular season a week before everyone else, then play three spring training games, and then pick up with everyone else while they are three games into the season.
