Honestly Scott, I don't think you should worry about racking up miles on the 59. You seem to rotate thru the coral pretty regularly, plus when 37 Chevy is done, you'll be adding that to the rotation. As another comment said, drive it & ENJOY!

Taking care of it is the key. The Ramcharger is a prime example, just beautiful. Who cares if it has 20k or 200k, as long as it's preserved?

@@peteb2304 Absolutely. I can understand and appreciate the desire to steward things like classic cars for posterity, as historical/museum pieces, and future generations, but it's debatable whether those future generations will have any greater appreciation for it, or have any real use for it.

I love Ramchargers. Over the years I've owned 6, 2 pop-tops and 4 square bodies. '78 had the 400, and full time 4x4, but the '80 was the part time, fully loaded SE. 20 years ago I was searching for another pop-top, preferably another '80. Gave up and settled for a '80 Clubcab Powerwagon. That's a huge score in my books, heard of but never seen one with a bench seat.

The shot of the yellow fins and 'sport deck' out the rear window of the Plymouth was pure cinemascope, Scott. The view would make a great T-shirt. Please twist Dan's arm not to go with the winch front bumper. Chrome front and back bumpers on that rig looks like pure factory goodness.

Takes me back to my Chrysler Dodge dealer tech days. We never sold those in great numbers but there were a few nice ones that went through the dealership. By 1991 I was considered a seasoned Chrysler tech as I started in 1969. The early 90s were spent elbow deep in the infamous A604 ultradrive electronic front wheel drive transmission. I averaged 6 overhauls a week in those days.

Living in town center with no free parking other than my own lawn around the house (officially frowned upon when used as parking, the only garage with the house being the workshop from day one), I share a subterranean garage with my neighbor who is into old cars enough to add said garage as a private add-on for his collection under a rental he built a couple years ago as his retirement plan ..... having a partner in crime owning enough private and secluded parking spots high enough for a martially looking LandRovers and a random all-wheel-drive VW Vanagon with roofrack between his sportscars to readily house old Citroëns, Alfas and Italian motorcycles in numbers for a fair rent definitely helps - or doesn't help, at all, depending from which view point You might look at it 😂

Love it! When the originals came out in the 70s I wanted one badly until I found out Chrysler opted for a full time 4WD unit. I forget the name or make of the brand they chose. That was back in the early original gas shortage era and squeezing mpgs was the name of the game. Without the ability to lock out the hubs and turn off the 4WD I wasn't interested. This manual trans beauty is awesome. Nice catch! And seeing your beautiful '59 was once again nostalgic pleasure. I've mentioned my 59 Winter beater I picked up in college fall of 67. A rust belt survivor of the time in Youngstown. I miss that look back via the rear view mirror through those beautiful fins. She was a warm and dependable Winter beater also with the 318 and Torqueflite. What a wonderful era.

Congrats to Dan. That Ram Charger is a real beauty. Those new Coopers might lead to a new program segment, "My Posh Tires". The 59 Fury ride over there was interesting. I'm something of a temp gauge junkie when I see old car videos, and the gauge seemed to be staying in its happy zone just fine. That's always a good thing with an old car. I was at an all-Mopar car show last Sunday, and either of these gems would have drawn a crowd there (especially the Fury).

I had an 82 Ram Charger Prospector package 4 wheel drive and out of all the rigs I've owned I miss that one the most. Even back in the 90's it was hard to find parts for seeing Chrysler wasn't even making enough parts for spare parts at the dealerships. Always liked the tailgate cause you could get under it during a rain storm.

Had my '86 for 15 years. A Texas truck, it's rust free but it's always just been an old beater, although not abused since I've had it. I started rebuilding it after the wife died, something to keep my mind off my troubles. It now sports a 490lbft 410 stroker mated to a late model 8HP70 eight speed automatic, D60's, Edelbrock PF4 EFI and a loong list of other stuff. Even though it was initially built with junkyard parts and a $200 360 engine it's been the most dependable old truck I've ever had and has never left me stranded. We went to Colorado a couple times, made a trip to Moab Utah and wheeled it for five days, and New Mexico several times. Before long it's going on an extended trip around the western U.S. Up to Oregon and wherever else the road leads, maybe even Alaska.

That's a really nice find on the Ramcharger. I also enjoy the 59 Fury, its a time capsule. Seeing Dan's new toy reminded me that I recently saw a nice looking Ramcharger in traffic near Columbus OH that stood out to me since it had 8 lug wheels & the distinctive sound of a Cummings diesel. Someone went & built himself the ultimate Ramcharger.

Thanks for the GCFCE-longversion. That's one hell of a club, the enrichmenters, clubhome, shop and all. Cheers and thanks for the clips!

Last Ramcharger I rode in was an '88 owned by a friend whom I have lost touch with. He was a Dodge mechanic and transplanted a 440 and Dana 60's front and rear with 40 inch tires and cut fenders. It was a beast. sure wish I knew what happened to him and it. I still love the stockers and this one here is quite a find. Thanks for sharing.

I can honestly say I have remained subscribed since the day I subbed to the channel. It does help I think, that I watch every single episode the day they come out. Like it enough I am a proud patron.

Dear CWM Scott N. 👍👌👏 Although the outside and inside gorgeous green Frazer's interior, especially dashboard and steering wheel, is my favourite, I happily admit: Maaaan, looking at the very special steering wheel of your '59 Plymouth Fury is really a treat! 🙌 Apropos beauty: I guess I know pretty well why Francine didn't come with you this time. After you told her about the newly purchased GCFCE car, she simply feigned disinterest. Because the interior is black and dark grey, the Diva's beauty wouldn't be able to shine as much as usual! 😁 ;-) I'm just kidding of course. 3) Congratulations! Maaaan, this DRC is definitely a really clean original good looking vehicle! Especially for not being a low kilometres/mileage car and already over 30 years old. It was well kept by the former owners. Congrats to the GCFCE agent for selling the red truck (you can't respectively should better not keep 'em all). Because of the immaculate condition of the interior, I bet it was parked in a garage respectively under a roof when not driven. As always: Thanks a lot for making teaching explaining recording editing uploading and sharing. Best regards, luck and especially health to all of you (including the beautiful black poodle Diva of course).

That is a sweet truck. Handsome and usable for most things. Great that he was able to find it like that.

Hope everyone is safe up there. I've been watching the news regarding the forest fires in Alberta. We actually have haze in the air in Cleveland over Lake Erie.

14:10 Poppy head liner. Support the vets ... Always. Back in 1959 the roads and parking spots must have been more spacious . Trying to maneuver that 59 into a parking spot today would be brutal.

Such a sweet find in that '91 Ramcharger, the only thing I don't like about it is that I don't own it! That would look so good sitting next to my '84 W-150 short bed "Marksman" (that came with a special edition Winchester 30-30, that I also still have in it's original box). And Scott, that '59 it just leaves me speachless....Thank Y'all so much for sharing.

That has to be the nicest Ramcharger I have ever seen. My buddy bought a new Ramcharger in 1976, with a auto/318, buckets and console. He put a snowplough on it. Completely gutless gas guzzler. Wandered all over the road and the body was completely rotten by 70,000 miles. But we did have some fun with it, took the top off in the summer. And drove it way out on the lake ice fishing in the winter. It would definitely go places, till you high centered, lol
