When I change my oil i fill it through the fill hole on the side and then plug that and top it off through the top pto bolt hole. I never thought of adding a cooler, but it would be nice to have. I’m not sure why ford is the only manufacturer to put coolers on their manual transmissions.

Yes it is... we pulled a Canyon today towing 9000 pounds.. The transmission got up to 205ﾟ, I was amazed how warm a standard trans runs...

I'm surprised at that too, but then again not really if you think about it because the engine runs about 200 and the trans has no cooler and makes heat on it's own too. I had wondered about it but have never seen a gauge on a manual trans. Maybe you should have one on the ol M37
