It's all a simulation... 😂😅😂😅. Got this old video recommended when I came home today after an embarrassment att the grocery store. Have the same system but it was a replacement for the original keyless entry. Accidentally either pushed the lock while still inside and then opened the door manually , resulting in waking up the dead, or pushed the panic button. That was chaos and panic. Nothing worked to shut it down, until I disconnected the negatives on both batteries. Ain't gonna lock that truck again. 😁😆😁😆

@@paulwinkelman All that was missing , besides the 20 or so crowd of onlookers was the police checking on who was stealing an old pickup and hiding in the engine bay, since tiny me almost fell in while disconnecting the batteries. Most likely will hack off the horn to prevent future stress induced heart problems. Must bite and munch on my pride( the rest of it) and read the bloody manual. 😉

Will this work on a 1999 Doge ram 2500 magnum

So i have to disconnect the module thats in the back of the gaiges to that slot with the 6 holes? I didnt quit understand what you do once back there

Jesus Valdez no sir. If you already have the module that’s behind the gauges, then all you have to do is by your key fob remote that goes on your key ring to lock and unlock your vehicle. Although you may have to buy the programmer that goes in your OBD2 port to program the key fob for the already existing transmitter that is behind your gauges. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the video, I’m going to attempt this on my 2002 Ram 1500, just curious before I do it if there is any special things that have to be done to get the fob the recognize the RKE module or do you just follow the instructions included with the programmer?

I believe I bought mine off of eBay or amazon, but the same one should work in your truck even though it’s a hemi. Most of the interior electronics should be the same.

Hi friend! It is just what I am looking for, I tried installing a Viper alarm in a rush to have the keyless entry function, however, looking at the service manual I see that the function itself is controlled by the Instrument Cluster and it controls the locks by means of impulses. in short, a big headache to make the Viper work for this. *My question is*, once you programmed the transmitter, does this feature turn the car alarm on and off with the control? Another thing, my truck has SKIM module deleted; Will there be any risk when programming the transmitter, does it activate the SKIM even if it is not installed? (They are different functions of different modules but I have that question.) I go back and repeat, it's just what I'm looking for! You hit the nail on the head with this video!

Once programmed you will be able to use the keyless entry remote to lock and unlock the doors and the panic button works. I’m not sure what the SKIM is that your referring to.

@@paulwinkelman Hi friend! thanks for the info. When I talk to you about SKIM, it is the "Sentry Key Immobilizer System", basically it is the immobilizer that all chryslers bring. It is the module that recognizes the key (the key has an integrated transponder chip) when you turn the key in the ignition cylinder. if said module does not recognize the key, the car only turns on for 2 seconds and then turns off. When I bought the truck (for the year 2012) I only had a copy key and was already without the SKIM module. In 2016 my truck batteries had a short circuit, they melted 2 injectors solinoids and for some reason the code P0606 (error in ECM) and P0633 (invalid key) were activated. To correct this, I bought all the injectors, 2 new batteries and the ECM was fixed by a friend who flashed and corrected it. that is why my doubt, you will be able to understand my uncertainty. oh, by the way, my truck is a 2005 Dodge Ram 2500 5.9 cummins with NV5600 2wd raised 3 inches.

Jorge Dorado being an 05 it should operate like my 03. Mine does not have the chip in the key.

I would say yes. The keys for my 03 are not chipped so you can go thru the simple process of programming the new key fob.

You can help bro I have ram 2500 2006 in my truck in the cluster no have this module in my cluster original no understand can’t not program key control you can help me?

I believe for a 2006 it is a different procedure. Search google, ‘2006 Dodge Ram keyless entry reprogram’

So if we have keyless entry already all we have to do is order the key fob? We don’t need the transmitter or OBD programmer?

I’m not sure on that scenario. I did it from the stand point of not having anything from the factory. It’s worth a shot for you. Worst case scenario, you may have to order the obd programmer if the key fob doesn’t work right out of the box.

@@paulwinkelman my truck didn't come equipped from the factory as well, does it matter if the module is from a different year? It's ridiculous that a 2010 doesn't have this already.

As long as you have power locks then find the appropriate module for behind the dash and it should work.

If your talking about the transponder that goes in the dash, I would check eBay or Amazon. Other than that I would just Google it and see what other places carry it.

Jose Rivera I ordered it on Amazon just put in Dorman 99164 and make sure it fits your vehicle. I put the link in my description. I thought it was in there but I just added it.

@@jimmypigrenet9464 I’m not sure if that’s accurate. All I know is my truck had the key hole on the passenger side and appeared as though it needed the transmitter for the keyless entry system.

Why would anyone want kessy system, wait till it fails. At least you know how to defeat it. Woe to the next owner when it fails.
