I too have purchased a used neon as an emergency vehicle. check engine light came on mb, 3 days after purchase. the video has valuable information for me to examine and identify what leak is causing the p0456 code as well as a small leak. I am undertaking the investigation now, will update as i run through the check list. THANK YOU!!!

thanks for helping us to save money on some simple and easy car problems. I have Dodge Neon 03 SE. I purchased this car as a emergency because my volvo V 70 98 got a problem with shifting gears. Now, the Neon was in bad shape and very cheep . The only code's that appears on my deshboard is 0440, 0517 and 0522 . I replaced a new gas cup . That's it. So, after I found this video you posted, I will do check of evep canister and other stuff. Alex, thank you man for your hard work.

Thank you so much for taking your time to record the video to share with us. I drive a 2000 Dodge Neon and I have the exact code spitting back out at me with the diagnostics computer. P0455 was explained perfectly by you. Thanks again- any chance if you have to repair for codes " P0351 and P0743 " throw a youtube video up for that - or if you just know- drop me a email or reply.

while fixing evap system take your time the cracks in the hoses could be really very tinny and sometimes very hard to diagnose without smoke machine...

thank you sir , a shame a lot old cars like this get sent to the scrip yard for simple problems. its to bad, lots of car mechanic like rip off people and make it so hard to afford to maintain small problems as a car get older. naturally parts will wear out fail as they age , why dose it always have to be a 300 to 600 dollar bill to fix :(

Hello Alexey, I got the code PO456 on my 2002 Neon. I already replaced the gas cap this morning and I ride the car all day. The check engine light is still on. How long should I wait for it to go OFF? is there anything I can do to reset the car computer?

Fernando Leiva Gas cup is the begging... the troubleshooting code suppose to be gun in couple of days... If not.. Consider replacement of oxygen sensors or catalyst cover tor.. All of those components witch I mentioned in this video could be faulty..
