I have a 2022 R/T and its certainly an adequate cruiser. Sounds good, looks good, big trunk for luggage or groceries, nice reliable engine with cheap parts because its been in production on so many models for years and years, and it is certainly fast enough for me. Then again I ain't no racer, I just like to open it up a bit on back roads. And remember you're going to be significantly faster then everything except other performance vehicles (and the R/T is definitely near the bottom of that list). So you'll beat 90% of traffic without even stressing the engine. Merging onto a busy highway for example has never felt safer to me. I daily it in winter, too. You just need to get used to steering with your throttle and you're fine. Bottom line, not a racer. More a Grand Tourer/Cruiser. Hell once i'm in cruise it even regularly gets near or over 30mpg, even in sport mode. That's balanced out when i'm in town and starting off from a light and my mpg is like, 2.

Going to trade in my v6 for this

I just bought a 2023 RT Plus. I absolutely love it. It's more than enough power for me. I use it as a cruiser but hit the gas a little when I'm on a long stretch of road with not too many cars on it. I already got pulled over in it for speeding in the first week but got a warning so I invested in a good radar detector. 😀

I also have a 2022 challenger 5.7 in germany. I was stunned on how cheap parts and oil changes are compared to some of my other cars

At 153.47 mph top speed, I woiuldn't exactly call this car slow. My current car is limited to 108 mph ( 2005 Buick LeSabre) , even my Pontiac Grand Prix GTP coupe ( 1999) is topped out at about 125-130 ( computer limited). At 153.5 mph this car has enough top speed to land me in jail on US highways. Still planing on getting one of these RTs in the next 3-4 months. I've watched this video at least 4 times ( so far). Love it!

Just two days ago I was finally able to test drive a 2022 Challenger RT 5.7. Even though it was a short drive in a small town with 25 mph streets, just getting to know one of these "junior" muscle cars was a complete thrill for me! Even with just a 2/3 rds throttle application this large and in charge coupe went up to 80 mph before I realized it!! Going from a V6 with 205 hp and 230 ft pounds of torque to this 372 hp 400 ft pounds of torque, was quite the eye opener! WOW, what a blast! It had the looks, comfort, gadgets, power, acceleration and of course that HEMI V8 sound I have been seeing in videos but have now experienced in person. That low rumble at idle was fantastic! I WILL own one by this Summer.

It's really an under appreciated car:)! Especially in Europe, it's a great drive.

I’m in the process of buying the Challenger R/T 5.7 L, in F8 Green. I don’t want the bigger engine. I just want a strong, drivable V8; like my Dad used to own.

Good job! Coming to you from the US, I appreciate you verbally converting metric into numbers I fully understand! Love that Hellraisen color too! I'm saving my $ in hopes I'll be able to buy one of those RT Challengers by this Summer.

A lot of wrong statements are spread in this video. The engine is not built by hemi, but the hemispherical combustion chamber engine - they are called hemi. And 410lb-ft are not 400NM but ~ 555NM

Hp in Europe and America are counted differently. Torque is different and coubted in NM here
