(Scat Pack Charger owner here) Couple of points: You're correct, the dash material isn't a pure leather. I'd call it 'leather-ish', lol. I have a 2018 Scat Pack, and the dash on mine is a slightly rougher, more tactile texture. I think they switched to this smoother material in 2020. 2. I've driven a few Challengers too, and I agree the driver's side mirror is of little/no help. At least they tilt down when you shift into reverse though, which helps when parallel parking. (if you didn't see them do that, you likely need to enable that option in the settings menu). Seems to be a common thing among American coupes too. I've always had issues with mirrors on Mustangs and Camaros too.

10:58 - funny you mention that. I just returned from a short holiday in the Los Angeles area. While there, I splurged a bit and rented a Widebody ScatPack Charger from Turo - specifically so I'd have something fun to drive on the Angeles Crest Highway, as well as some of the numerous canyon roads around the LA area. (and since we don't have twisty roads like that where I live, it gave me a chance to see how my own car might perform on these roads) Obviously, the Charger wasn't as nimble as something like a 911 or a Miata, nor would I expect it to be. But I honestly felt like it drove lighter than its actual size, and kept it's composure all the way through. Much of the canyon roads out there don't require a ton of speed anyway, so momentum (and some timely help from the awesome ZF gearbox) was more than enough to keep the fun factor up and the power band engaged when you needed it. Overall, it met and in many ways exceeded my expectations. I'd never claim it to be a future road course king, but it's nice to know it's much more capable than just drag strips. ;)

Just drove my 2023 Last Call version today. This video was an influence for my purchase months ago. Bilstein adaptive suspension, ZF 8 speed. He’s right about the European gearbox. The ZF 8 speed is an all time masterpiece, in its MANY applications. As a four time BMW owner, turn in and handling are great. Put that in a blender with a 6.4L American V-8, and happiness ensues. Also, the interiors are nice now. The spirit of an old muscle car, with six piston Brembo brakes, German adaptive suspension. It’s the best of all worlds. The old criticism of - can’t stop, can’t corner - no more. It’s a comfy cruiser that can do ALL. It’s fun. It’s not setting Nürburgring records, and that’s NOT the point. All my BMWs, never made me smile as much as this. All great. This is a smiles machine.

We did a trips to Pisa or to the Normandy and even a few hundred kilometers on the autobahn were really enjoyable. But with aftermarket suspension, 22 inch wheels, top of the line tires. So yeah no issues at all but you need to stop every like 200 to 300 hundred kilometers to get fuel if go 200kph+ for some time.

As of now, Hellcats are no longer available. They should be back in 2023 for one year only. I took one for a spin but only to 215 km/h due to heavy traffic. Love the video! Those Challengers are so sick. I’m a bit spoiled because there is a Dodge Jeep Ram dealership less than a minute from my place. I stop in every time they get something new like this in. I only get to window shop and I don’t have the no speed limit autobahn, so definitely not as cool.

At 8:50 when you mention how the sensitive throttle tuning from a stand still makes you "the a$$hole" every time, I completely agree!! I loved my 2015 ScatPack Challenger, it was a beast and a fantastic everyday driver, but I wished there was a button that would tame the throttle response when you just want a calm and casual drive in stop and go traffic. I got around this by putting it in manual mode and bumping it into second gear. A button with an a$$hole graphic with a slash through it to lock out second gear would have been nice, and SOOOO Dodge!!!! I also appreciate that you understand that these cars are all about FUN.

If you do get it just letting you know that if the weather goes slushy to freezing overnight then the best way to unstuck the rear wheels because of ice is to put it in reverse and go back a few inches and you'll hear the ice break and the wheel will be free...these are great cars but personally I'd supercharge the awd model...I find the v6 a little anemic but then again I'm used to the torque of a v8

Reminds me when I was stationed in Germany in the 80s and I used to drive my BMW 2002 and we would struggle to get it to 195 km/h... If I'm reading the gauges right he got up at 250 pretty quickly. Sounds weird to hear an American V8 on the Autobahn, but definitely cool

70's muscle car footage on the Autobahn would be horrendous for your audience. Most did ~120mph (193kmh). Horrible aerodynamics, short gearing, and 4-speed manual (3-speed auto) transmission.

Love the channel. Great to see American cars on the Autobahn at their limit. If we had a section of no speed limit in the USA it would be strewn with bent metal and blood. Pushed my rental M-B E Class diesel estate in Germany 14 years ago t0 140 mph with my in-laws in the back seat. They didn't have a clue:). Such fun. That would land you in jail here in California.
