@@pandeyom6877 casteism is everywhere. Not just in small towns and villages, but also in metropolitan cities like Delhi and Mumbai. Have a look around you, ask a street sweeper what caste he belongs to and why he's doing what he's doing. Ever heard of manual scavenging? The "untouchables" are forced to clean human excreta because of their caste. Ever heard of students completing their PhDs but still working as daily wage labourers because of their caste? It's the worst in villages. The people who think casteism isn't relevant today and it's just a thing of the past, are the people who mostly belong to the upper caste. It's rightly said that casteism is invisible to the upper caste.

It's not just only about beings poor , it's abouts the dignity that is lost in society The people of dalit samaj who are at higher post's are still getting indirectly discriminated . This casteism is in roots of hindu society .even a child of upper cate who is 9th class is against reservation but not against discrimination. My question is who taught This 9th class students to be against reservation? You haven't experienced discrimination that's why u are staying equality feels likely discrimination , dignity is more valuable to individual than money You aren't seeing the bigger picture your eye's only stuck to reservation as if upper caste is not getting 10 percent reservation under economically weaker section.

I am sorry to say that. हिंदू धर्म में रहकर अनुसूचित जातियों का भला न हुआ था और न होगा। इस धर्म के मूल जड़ में ही जातिवाद है। ऊंचे नीचे वर्ग हर धर्म में है पर वो लचीले हैं उनमें गरीब अमीर हो सकता है और अमीर गरीब हो सकता है। लेकिन हिंदू धर्म में जमी हुई जातियां है। इसमें गरीब हमेशा गरीब ही रहेगा। अभी जितने भी अमीर नीची जाति के हैं वो संविधान की वजह से हैं, और बीजेपी राज में संविधान को सबसे बड़ा खतरा है।

From Himachal My friend got rejected by her boyfriend's family because she is from lower cast . Working as a clerk in a bank , educated , well mannered , beautiful , kind , but still got rejected . Now she is in depression , boy didn't said a single word to his parents in defence n married to other girl of his cast . While he was dating my friend , the cast was never an issue , he said he will handle n he does not believe in this shit . 🙄😏😔 In my neighbour village there was a marriage two days ago N I saw multiples rows for having food n each row at a distance first I thought its just for safety n to prevent from crowding but later I got to know , these were the different sitting arrangements made for upper cast n lower cast . Usme bhi upper cast wale uper ki taraf n lower cast wale bilkul niche ghar se thoda alag . Btao bhai ye kya baat hui 🙄

After tolerating exploitation for centuries, they are still quite, shy of revolting, shy of non-cooperation. I wonder why there's no poverty riots ever happened in India with the largest class/caste getting exploited/abused everyday for centuries. Making films, documentary will not make the privileged empathetic towards them, there will be 'otherisation' as it is today.Revolt is the only answer, the 'Dalits' are the majority in population,why not a total non-cooperation with the system.

Watching this in 2023 and all I can say is that we general caste Hindus need to do a lot to eradicate casteism and discrimination within our religion. A common refrain by caste apologists is that OBCs do maximum harassment of Dalits. In that case why don't people from other castes stop them and fight against the oppresors. We need to do better.

Still caste system practiced in Sikh community.. jatt,khatri,ravidasiya etc . Even different gurudwara for ravidasiya. Without contributing anything some gurus are called gurus while Ravidas Kabir are called bhagat (lower than gurus)even when they contributed more to guru granth sahib because of their caste
