Yes. You can apply after 12 class. You need 6720€ in your account. Entrance exam points will be final decision. So you need to pass entrance exam.

1. If you have A permit for PhD degree, after 4 years, you can apply for permanent resident. For citizenship you need 5 years to stay in Finland and language certificate. But if you have B status in PhD degree, after completing degree you will get A permit. So you need 4 years + 4 years = 8 years to get PR. 2. 6 months bank statement from sponsor and 1-3 months from the applicant. If it is paid PhD, you don't need any sponsor or bank statement, university is the sponsor if it is paid.

As you said Paid PhD we don’t need any bank statement for phD student and spouse right? 3. If there is no paid phD phD student and spouse want to show 1-3 months old bank statement right?

It is not difficult as I have seen few of my familiar friends brought their spouse and they are PhD student.

I got a Ph.D. position at a university in Helsinki but without a stipend! Please let me know if I should accept it. since my first year will be intensive and I must attend all lectures to get good grades. so i won't be able to do part-time work. Please, reply with your experiences.
