Simms likes to sing, in masterful on the cusp of victory he made sure to have karaoke machine on standby. This lead to 4th most objectionable thing the simms master did in my opinion. Claiming Waterloo is the only good abba song when lay all your love and gimme are superior.

Not only does he sing along, but he also sings more of it via ADR once he starts ringing the bell, it all changes from the on set audio to foley and ADR

+Flowepot 96 Like the Doctor each personality for the Master's various regenerations is different, I do like this Master's Personality too though.

I'm a bit disappointed The Master never met The Eleventh Doctor, I think that would have been brilliant ;)

After reading this, I can't help but imagine all the possibilities, not just with 11, but with Amy and Rory and River with the Master as the villain. Damn! So much missed opportunity

In story it's actually a bit strange since (in universe) 10 only lives for about 6 years whereas 11 lived for about 900! Yet 10 meets him twice and 11 never meets him at all. It seems the only doctors who haven't met the master are 2, War (not sure, he might have) 9 and 11 (1 would have known him as a child)

Well, the man might be out of his mind, but you gotta give him this; the master has one hell of a singing voice.

Indeed it is! It's one my favourite scenes and the Master is still one of my favourite (...or forget the 'one of', just my favourite) character and John Simm plays him perfectly. And this, this is pure gold.

The Master has had some great forms in the past but this version is my favourite Master just because of these 3 episodes

Because songs cost money, is my best guess. BBC tends to not spend on licensing songs for rebroadcast cases like Netflix or DVDs, or so I have heard. Not knocking BBC as it's not purely their issue, either.

Yes they did, it was done for timing reasons as this episode had to be edited a little bit to fit in for US and overseas broadcasts as it ran too long for their usual one hour slot on commercial channels. The BBC does not carry commercials in the UK so they had the ease of extending this episode a bit longer with no fuss.
