Amy was always wrong to be in love with the Doctor.

I love how they have gone back to the very first costumes we see each of them wear in Church on Ruby Road, with 15s costume in the cold open and Ruby when she talks to Davina.

It shows the characters growth and progression as the Doctor never says goodbye.

@@felipecarrera9127 are you still seriously thinking that? it has already been confirmed by RTD that she is 100% in season 2(series 15) , whether it's full time or part time we don't know but she is defiantly in the next season/series

I do like how they've REEEAAALLLLLLYYY teased Susan this series. She's definitely on the way in some form or another.

Sutekh reminded the Doctor of something important, regardless of face, regardless of identity, regardless of presentation- traveling with the Doctor is dangerous. The doctor doesn't leave people behind because he fears connection. The Doctor leaves people behind because She's dangerous. They don't want to see anyone get hurt.

No, if you think about it, Sutekh has been one with the Tardis since Pyramids of Mars. So all that Death that came with the Time War, the Pandorica, Trenzelore and even the Flux, all of that was him, not the Doctor. There’s no way the Doctor could have known until now. All that destruction was Sutekh, not him.

After spending the whole series struggling to see Ncuti Gatwa as the Doctor, this scene really showed what he's capable of. The nuanced performance of a convincing pretence of happiness masking his sadness is phenomenal, even more affecting than Tom Baker's farewells to Sarah Jane and Leela. Finally, Ncuti really is the Doctor: he does a great job of pushing his feelings down and hiding them but he'll always be vulnerable. It's what isn't said that counts, and both Ncuti and RTD really nailed that. RTD, less tears and hysteria and more of this, please! Ncuti Gatwa deserves more material like this!

The people who say this episode was underwhelming because Louise was just a normal person really, REALLY have a strong case of "missing the point". It's certainly not that the normal person angle was chosen without realizing it was opposite to the build-up. Of course they knew, that was the point. The way you build things up in your mind is always more fantastical than the reality, but that doesn't make the reality any less special.
