When I hear the Doctor sing "Pure Imagination", makes me wonder if the Doctor met Roald Dahl in a past life, and might have inspired one or two of his stories, and Dahl secretly hints his encounter with the character of Wonka, a strange, lonely, and magnificent genius with an elevator that can go in any direction, who lets people into his world of wonder in the hopes of finding someone of pure heart to share in the fantastic world he lives in.

It has been established in one of Peter Capaldi's episode, that time lords are way beyond our stereotypes and homophobia, given the fact that they can regenerate into either into a woman or a man. So basicly every Time lord is pan-sexual if we want to give it a label, because no matter what they look like, the pure soul of an other time lord does not change.
