Nahh he was not good at making portals. So he had to make the portal far away so that he could go through it by the time it was finished forming.

Watching this movie in big screen must have been a cool experience! The cinematography is so sleek!

The fact that Marvel/Disney literally cannot make a movie this good anymore is so sad. And she did this scene without saying "I'm the first badass woman in the MCU!"" F what Disney has become. A mockery.

First time I watched this scene in the theater, my brain felt like it was numb, I was so concentrated that my mind turned around and around for 5 minutes afterward

If Ancient One actually wanted then she could've killed those three easily but she didn't because that might not lead to Dr. Strange saving the Earth from Dormamu

nope not really. As she said she could not see past her death. So its either She doesn't want to kill Kaecilius (because he was her student and she always has been defending and not attacking much), or she always failed to defend the final fight with him and died.

I miss the old Dr. Strange from his first origin movie and Infinity War where his magic is still impressively fascinating with some actual mind bending visual. But what in NWH and MoM, there is not as so fascinating and deep anymore.

As I recall right before then Mordo pointed out that this idea was suicide not strategy. They may not be able to affect the real world, but there is nothing stopping them from killing those two and then returning to it.

this is the reason why power level of Dr Strange is not even close as the Ancient One. you can see how the Ancient One was able to control the mirror dimension with just body movements and using her mind but Strange can only control using his hand.

obviously bro he just started magic in this movie. as the movies progress u can tell how much more powerful and experienced he is. i like to think of it as ancient one being yoda and dr strange being the chosen one like anakin skywalker (without the darkside part)

One of my favorite MCU movies ever! No hate for Sam Raimi I'm a fan, but it's a shame that they changed the director for the sequel

Imagine a film were a Protagonist and Antagonist both had Reality Manipulation Powers similar to this and the engaged in an Epic Reality Warping or Manipulation Battle, that would be interesting! Here its more just running from the enemy than anything else!

As another has said, that battle would be based on wits, raw power is nothing, only the most skilled and smartest reality warper wins.

The amount of times Strange survives deadly falls in this clip is ridiculous.

Seeing this.. it's pretty clear strange was not even trying to defeat Peter in NWH. He is way more Powerful than even ancient one in NWH, he could have easily defeated Peter if he wanted to.. When Peter took his ring, he wasn't angry, he was a bit surprised.. And also mads Mikkelsen is a great actor..

That's how I saw it. If Strange wanted to really hurt Peter, he would have done so. He just wanted Pete out of the way to finish the spell. Though Him being so nonchalant about him taking the sling ring was a little off to me. That was his only way out. And as far as he knew, he and his gang had no way to bring him back after they'd finished/failed. You'd think he'd be a little more upset about being locked away like that.

I don't think Dr. Strange started to draw powers from Dormammu. When you use that power, there's a symbol of Dormammu that will appear in your forehead but there's a time when the Ancient One introduces the mirror dimension to Strange and she warped the place but there's no symbol in her forehead, meaning she didn't draw powers from Dormammu to do that and I think that technique is what Strange did in No Way Home coz there's no symbol in his forehead when he warped the mirror dimension. So maybe it's an advance technique that any sorcerer can do but those who draw powers from Dormammu do it in a much better and powerful way 😁

Well, the Ten Rings actually do have a connection to the Masters of the Mystic Arts as evidenced in Shang-Chi's post-credits scene. So it's possible that the Ancient One knew of the existence of the rings.
