Dr. Strange is my favorite MCU movie and my favorite MCU character. Benedict Cumberbatch as Dr. Strange is absolutely perfect 🔥

Strange didn't turn away from Christine, she went for the cheek. Strange is whacking out and doing astral things -- she'd be crazy after what he's done to dive back in.

I love Dr Strange. I love how he save the day against Dormammu and no one knew but Wong and Mordo and I find this fascinating how none of the Avenger or the world saw or sense this, I mean their world was this close to ending and no one knew. he is the only one who can use the time stone. His loop death in the dark Dimension is real, he suffered, and felt all that pain and it probably happened a bout a thousand times. fun fact Benedict (the actor who played Dr. Strange) also voiced Dormammu and had his face be the villain.

My favorite MCU hero ❤. Doctor Strange is definitely one of a kind. In his first movie he made the ultimate sacrifice dying on repeat for years to save everyone else on Earth. No one even knows how much he suffered. The amount of mental fortitude and selflessness needed to achieve that is staggering.

I grew up on Dr. Strange comics so I was actually excited when I found out this was being made. It’s fun with cool concepts and the visuals are tremendous 🤘🏽

Mordo made his comments about Strange lacking a spine before he realized just how powerful Kaecilius's connection to the Dark Dimension was. Mordo knew while in the Mirror Dimension he and Strange would have little chance of defeating Kaecilius. Even the Ancient one was eventually defeated at the hands of Kaeciluis and she was extremely powerful. Reactors often criticize Mordo for his rigid inflexible stance, but you should look at it from his perspective. To find out that your spiritual mentor/teacher has been doing something that they told you was forbidden can be emotionally devastating. Which is the core reason he turned away from Kamar Taj. While Strange is one of the best masters of the Mystic Arts he sometimes overlooks the consequences of his actions which may have future repercussions which is exactly what Mordo was saying to Strange and Wong before he left. "The Bill Comes Due Always" very true.

Dr. Strange turned his head when Christine tried to kiss him. Why? Because like Peter Parker (Spiderman), Strange knows that his love for Christine will put her life in danger. So in truth, for the first time in his life. Dr. Strange was actually thinking of someone else, other than himself. (Love the smoke, btw.)

Nah, he didn't turn away, they are misreading that scene and apparently you too.

You can access the Astral dimension irl. In the "open your eye" scene, the Ancient One puts her thumb on his forehead over his 3rd eye (the pineal gland). This gland naturally produces DMT. Monks who are adept at Astral projection can control the release of DMT naturally via meditation. Alternatively you could take dmt via Auahuasca or synthetic forms. Whoever did the animation for that scene has definitely taken it.

This movie it makes it seem like all of the events happened very quickly and in fact it took years for Doctor strange to become Master of the mystic art. The events of Doctor strange movie from beginning where followers on their dormammu stole pages from the ancient One books to end of the movie when Doctor strange became the protector of the sanctum of New York take place over the course of 3 years. Even the post credit scene with Thor took place a year later from the ending of the movie.

By the way, Benedict Cumberbatch is an awesome actor. I recommend watching BBC Sherlock and the Imitation Game. He was also the dragon in the Hobbit ( the behind the scene footage of his voice acting and motion capture is impressive. He literally became a dragon)

In the original comic book Mordo was always evil and he was always a nemesis to Doctor Strange but I guess this movie explains how he became evil

The beginning of this movie takes place before the events of civil war. Better chance of it being the homie who got effed up by Hammer’s suit we saw in Iron Man 2 that was shown during the Senate Hearing lol
