There are some fun facts about the guardians. These fun facts are based off of the MCU version of the character because in the comic book some are either stronger or weaker. For example Groot is a plant not a tree and groot really died the one in the pot is his son baby Groot. Rocket is just as smart if not smarter than Tony Stark. Gamora is 2 to 3 x stronger than Captain America. Drax five times stronger gamora and the reason he seemed weak is because Ronan the accuser is equal strength to Thor without the power Stone but of course with the stone Ronan is equal to the incredible Hulk.

This is why I love these movies is because each character has powers and a power level. There are rules for their powers as well. So well planned out. And yeah. Rat is very smart for a Rodent. Heck. He's smart for a Humie.

Howard the Duck is part of the MCU. A movie of Howard the Duck was made in the 80's.

This is still one of my favorites in the MCU. "Why are we crying two minutes into the movie?" That's James Gunn. He knows how to thrill the audience, make us laugh and then tug at our heartstrings. James will make grown men cry like little babies. "I'm not crying. You're crying." "No. We're both crying." Director James Gunn's brother Sean plays Yondu's XO Kraglin. He also was stand in as on set Rocket. Much of his physical performance drove Rocket's performance, plus he got a few adlibs in. A real Racoon named Oreo was used for reference. Oreo has since sadly passed. The CGI team did a wonderful job making Rocket look 100 percent real. Bradley Cooper breathed personality into Rocket with his voice performance. I'd love to know how different characters rank for you.

I always loved the hell out of this movie ever since it came out in 2014. But then my Dad died of colon cancer in 2020. He was at the point where his vision was going as he was starving to death from the inoperable colon cancer lump blocking any food intake. And he called out for me to take his hand just as Peters mom does in this movie. So now this movie just makes me a complete and utter mess. Even still, man do i love the whole purple end scene when he finally reaches for her when in actuality it is Gamora. So powerful.

The dog in the cosmonaut suit is Cosmo, and Howard the Duck from the end credit scene had his own movie in the 80's, though it's hilariously bad. Pay attention to these, there will be a quiz! 😉

While you have a ways to go before you get to Guardians 3 This is another heads up to please watch The Guardians Of The Galaxy Holiday Special before you watch Guardians 3 as it ties in points from the MCU and will save you asking some questionss in GOTG 3. Thank you.

I love this movie, like every human being on earth. But the "Captain Marvel" movie has a "plot twist" that doesn't work because this movie came out first.

Not that any movie in the MCU is realistic, but there is sliding scale when it comes to verisimilitude. In GotG, wheneve there is a choice between keeping it real, or going for humor, the movie goes for humor, and more often than not hits the target dead center. We do get an fine overall story about one of the Infinity Stones, along with some well-done standard fare sub-plots like the Quill-Gamora budding romance, and all the Thanos family drama, plus a reasonably portrayed pure evil villian in Ronan, but the movie is basically a string of non-stop jokes akin to "Airplane" or the "Naked Gun" movies which is actually a nice change of pace for the MCU movies and was, as it should be, very well received by fans.

Im guessing you only react to Marvel superhero movies?
