Doctor Reacts to BIZARRE Facebook Health Posts
I’ve taken a look at disturbing health posts showing up everywhere from KZread to TikTok, but today I decided to take a look at the source of a lot of the internet’s medical misinformation: Facebook. What I saw drove me up the wall. Quiet a baby by pressing pressure points? Heal muscle soreness by walking barefoot? The dangers of a red tongue?! Don’t believe everything you see in a Facebook video, and definitely don’t share it unless you can verify it’s TRUE!
I LOVE reading your comments and take your suggestions seriously. If there’s a subject you want me to discuss or something you’d like for me to react to, leave a comment down below. Many of my videos have been born out of suggestions directly from you, so don’t hold back!

@@steamfeuver That's not the point. The point is people are acting like their children will catch autism from something like a flu shot like autism is the disease, not the flu. You can't catch autism, and you especially can't catch it from injections. It's a disorder that happens as the baby is forming, so unless they shove babies back in the womb for flu and measles shots, I don't think we have to worry about catching autism from a syringe.

@@nathenewendzel7806 I have a question, let’s say I have a friend with autism and we’ve been friends for a while, would it at some point be okay to ask them how autism have affected them growing up with people who don’t have it? There's a little truth to the whole parts of the foot correlate with the body thing. My mom wasn't feeling great, but we went out for pedicures. The tech was massaging my moms feet and a specific part kept hurting. The tech asked her if she has gallbladder issues and she said no. She fell ill and went to the hospital. She had gallstones. I love that you stated that autism is mostly inherited!!! Parents don't want to know this, they want to blame something else, like vaccines or polution. But I am a functional autistic and I know my father is autistic too, but he will never acknowledge this. My grandfather died when I was in middle school and for what I remember, he could have been autistic too. We have so much similar coping mechanisms. Schools have to be made aware of medical conditions in case of emergency (like if you're diabetic and you pass out or something) so I would imagine the teacher was probably made aware of any medical conditions in his class. Odd that he would bring it up though lol

Super unprofessional. You are told about a learner's health risks to prepare you for certain emergencies that may pop up. Not to put a pupil on the spot. In my country, the law actually states that as a teacher, you are not permitted to share personal information on any pupil of any kind that they did not disclose as public knowledge. Also, @NovaNinja is absolutely correct - we are told about medical issues, ND issues and any possible home issues that would affect a learner's ability to focus and process lessons.

The fact that they might have autism after all and parents like those are 100% not going to give them any kind of support also makes me feel icky... If you have a child, there's always some risk they might be autistic. That's alright. We just percieve the world in a different way and need help sometimes. I'm diagnosed, and even though my father is not, I am about 98% sure I got it from him. He has all the symptoms I have. That can happen as well, right? my uncle has alot of things that would point to autism, i am officially diagnosed with it. its very possible that since autism is still in infancy when it comes to research, that our older family members never got a chance to be properly diagnosed, and therefore pass on things they dont even know they have. also, autism does not need to be inherited, it can be just out of nowhere. all the family can be composed of neurotypical types, and the new baby that rolls around has autism.

There actually is a study from Germany on the effects of dance training with elderly sedentary people which showed significant improvements in cognitive measurements (and if I remember correctly, memory was one of the subscales affected). Sport has been shown to improve some cognitive function and even lead to neurogenesis in some parts of the brain, but we still don't fully understand the mechanisms behind it.

The dumbest things about the “vaccines cause autism” bs is that autism itself isn’t one thing. There are like a bajillion types of autism, all very different from each other. I forget what it’s called and autocorrect isn’t giving me the right spelling but I have a type of autism that makes me a lot smarter, and I hate people who over-generalize it and just use it to make fear. As a person with high-functioning autism, I’d say it could be argued that the study of autism is in its infancy, to an extent. But yeah, we know vaccines have nothing to do with it. At least they’re easier to live with than measles and mumps…

There are multiple things you should do, drinking non alcoholic beverages is just one of them. Still, you are probably better off drinking powerade, pedialyte, or some kind of sports drink than regular water. You also probably should eat something if I remember correctly, I actually have a list somewhere back when I drank more frequently and it was all evidenced based from real studies and medical advice from doctors, not facebook bs. I think there's something about having food in your stomach slows the absorption of alcohol compared to drinking on an empty stomach.

That isn't really increasing your memory however. As you learn those movements and dance routines they became easier for the same reason doing any complicated task becomes easier over time. my favorite is when he was reading through the dancing benefits, he says "increase anxiety" instead of "increase energy" haha, like i get anxious dancing in front of strangers too sometimes 🤣
The reason why they say that moderate alcohol consumption lowers your chance of a heart attack is because if you drink some amount of alcohol you are more likely to be a bit more wealthy which makes you more likely to be less stressed which reduces heart attacks, (but the consumption itself doesn't have a positive effect) great video as always, keep up the good work

Fun fact, to stop your baby from crying you can aggressively shake it. This simulates the shaking that would be present when a parent is running away from a predator while holding the baby and your baby will stop crying as a defense mechanism. I feel like I shouldn't have to say this, but that was a joke, please don't shake your baby.

1:17 Not sure about babies, but pressing on your feet can actually help. If you have a cold, pressing on your feet might hurt (especially the big toe. The big toe is somehow connected to the head, I think) massage the hurting spots and it will feel better. Hands do the same thing. Make sure to drain after you’re done massaging. P.S 1:31 By pressing on those spots on the toes, it will (supposedly) make those areas of the head feel better P.P.S I’ve tried this and it works. But I’ve never tried this on babies. Do what Dr. Mike said in the video about babies. Maybe try pressing on your feet or hands if you have a cold? DISCLAIMER!!! I am not a doctor or medical stuff expert, all this stuff I learned from my mom. ✋🦶
