He did great , if you had told him to get his front foot further forward I think he would have nailed it.

I just watched this but didn't have the sound on. My visual observation is that the guy is trying to learn 2 things at once - how to ride a foil and how to dock start. You really shouldn't do both at once. The tendency is to lean back when learning when you should be leaning forward. After one can foil, then it is time to learn to dockstart. Very impressive amount of determination though, and this guy will be ripping in no time! If possible learn on an efoil or behind a boat, then move on to pumping, then on to dockstarting. Dude you should have given given him some instruction ...he never had his front foot in the right place - foot placement is critical and you just let him do the same thing over and over. what's up with that?

also trying to learn it... it's very, very hard...
