Doc Rivers Has Done It Again..

On February 15th 2024 the Milwaukee Bucks faced Memphis Grizzlies . a team with NBA MVP (Giannis Antetokounmpo), a Top 75 player of all time (Damian Lillard) and an All star (Brook Lopez)
Versus a group of G-leaguers and 10-day contract players..
The Bucks didn’t just lose, they lost in the most embarrassing way possible..
How did a championship franchise FAIL like this?
Whose to blame?
And did the Bucks just DOOM themselves by hiring Doc Rivers?

Those things wouldn't be an issue if Doc had even just maintained the teams current level of success. Firing your coach when your team is flickering back and forth between being the 2nd and 3rd best team in the league is ridiculous. This team has far too many good defenders for them to be rated as low as they have been all season. Even in terms of teams Dame has been on, the teams defense was on par with some of the worst teams he's been a part of, so this isn't one player dragging the defense down. It's the team itself failing. And if Doc were a good defensive coach, he didn't need to touch the offense, just even marginally improve the defense and they could have gone from the 2/3rd best in the league to the best. People point to Doc's championship, but that's not where executives are looking to see if he can coach. It's that old Magic team that basically consisted of what would today be G League guys that he got into the playoffs in a weak Eastern Conference. That's the one and only season in his career you can look at him and claim he might have done a good job coaching. You could also argue that the players were playing out of their mind to have a spot on a roster going forward and were put in the best possible situation to achieve that combined with no one taking them seriously due to a clear lack of talent.

Doc has to figure out how to use Dame but that's not easy to do because Dame is not used to play out of his comfort zone. The defence already looks better, the fact that the offence dropped means that the team lacks stamina and it takes time to build, when Middleton returns things will get better for sure

Bucks should realize sooner than later that they made a mistake with Rivers. I liked Doc as a player. He really played hard and had good focus out on the court. As a coach I think he is finally cooked. Sorry Doc.
