This scene is so powerful. The look in Adalind's eyes, when she realizes what Nick's mom is saying to her and that heartbreaking scream, as she falls to her knees, in the middle of the street. This is when I fell in love, with the character. Well done!

Then go & watch any Indian TV serial it happens all the time!

Even after Kelly was born, she was always afraid that at any moment someone would steal her child. Nick and the Scoobies gang inflicted a deep wound on Adalind's heart and created a trauma for her. It was only natural for her to seek revenge against those who did it.

One of the most emotional scenes of this series. Claire Coffee played Adalind brilliantly.

I do love that she let out such a powerful scream to break the windows of all those cars . . . but the people walking their dog and the skater were not fazed at all.

Wind day

When I saw this episode it made me realize that Adalind was put through so much evil since she was a kid. Her mom definitely should not have had her, she was so cruel to her. Everything she did was because her mom or the captain made her, except for the cat scratch. She did it to show her mom she is worthy, because she tells her she's not. Its like she has to prove herself to her mom she's worthy and deserves her love. Its so sad. When I saw this scene, it all made sense to me why she is the way she is. I cried with her during this scene because shes a real person who has just been fucked over in life. I fell in love with Adalind in this scene. I love her and Nick together too. They seemed like they have more chemistry than he did with Juliette. Another reason why I hate Juliette is because after everyone tried to help her when she became too powerful she almost killed Monroe. Another reason is she helped get Nicks mom head chopped off, all my love for Juliette was gone.

Yeah - and Juliette didnt really have a reason to hate Nick or his mom. Everyone tried to help her - I just couldnt empathize with her. Her anger and bitterness at nick seems to come from some place of entitlement instead of being deserved. Never really liked her that much to begin with.

​@@timh8324Hexenbeist Juliette wasn't any worse than Hexenbeist Adalind. She got unwanted powers and didn't know how to handle them. Adalind even said that those powers took hold and control. That is why when they start coming back after having Kelly she is terrified. She wasn't sure what they would do to her.

her reaction was so real, i loved it, she made a fantastic and loving mother and i felt really bad for her in this scene

It was during these episodes where Adalind was pregnant and then fleeing for her life when I started to like her. She's one of my favorite characters, and I love her with Nick!!

I really felt sorry for Adalind in this scene - her character was the type you love to hate but her loss of her first born child made heartbreaking.

I got to say this one choked me up. I had a 21 month old son that was killed. I had to watch him die for 4 days in the hospital. When you finally get to come home to a quite house without your child, this is the type of scream a mother let's out when she is longing for her child. And I felt that.

Being a mom, this scene shatters my heart like her scream did that glass. She made this scene so incredibly powerful.

She was 100% the best actor on the show

The moment she went out that door and the sad music kicked in all while seeing that look of fear and trauma Im sure every mother would feel if their child was taken all just broke my heart and had me balling in tears I swear I broke like 3 dams😭 I felt this

In Adalinds defence she was a more or less normal person till Nick found out he was a grimm and Renard and her mother roped her into all that shady stuff - she tried to kill hank on their orders then Nick took her powers and her mum turfed her out which triggered her going after Juliette. She didn't make the best choices but she was pretty much on her own with no one caring enough to look out for her which I think is a big part of why she was the way she was, most of what she did was a reaction (even if it was a pretty bad reaction. - Anyway I'm glad she got a redemption arc and she got to be a mother for both her children eventually

First time I watched this made me sad for her because it's her baby but now as a mom of two, one being a newborn her scream kills me.

Eventho she was a bad person. She is a mom, who still deserves to be with her own child. They simply took her daughter away from her. Any mom would gone mad.

Actually, as she says further in the series to Nick (when they get together), she just wanted to study and be a lawyer, but her mother and sean always manipulated her and demanded a lot on her and she just wanted her approval. When she lost her powers, her mother even disgraced her and her only confort after that was becoming pregnant. Becoming a mom changed everything for her and everything she did after that was because of her child. The real villains of Adalind's character was her mother and Sean.

If she is a bad person then there is not garantee that she would try her daughter good, she almost sell her once so sometí g the better for the children is being apart of their parent of they are bad people.

I always liked that, as bad as Adalind was, she was great at eliciting sympathy at moments like this.

The flaw in the storyline here, is that Kelly gave up her son because of who she was. Yet, somehow, it's different where this new baby is concerned? It would have made more sense if they met up with Adalind after getting the baby back from Victor. Then Adalind and the baby ride off together, instead of Kelly. And Victor would still be left thinking the Resistance has the baby.

I wish there was a spinoff or reboot. Love this series.

To be honest they had no right to take her child. There's no guarantee that she would have been a bad mother. She did terrible things because of Sean and her mother. But her child was her redemption, I'm sure she would have done the best she could for her child. They never gave her a chance to prove herself. The fact that she tried so hard to protect her daughter rather than abandoning her proves that she was a good mom. No good mother can accept just giving up their child right after given birth to them. They were wrong to take her child away from her and then played her like a fool. So I can't blame her for what she did to them. She didn't kill anyone but took revenge on Nick. Which turned out for the better and the results is Kelly. Juilet became a hexinbeast because she choose to turn Nick back into a grimm. So Adalind is technically not to blame. The actual villan was Sean.

In the real world there are good mother protective to death! And mothers that can somehow give up their offspring! I'm referring to the animal kingdom as a whole. The fact that the show scripted Claire to portray Adalind like this tells me they wanted redemption for her and to show what aggressiveness she has towards anyone getting between her offspring and her! That is a true mother! And how any mother should act! SO YES she did nothing wrong in looking for revenge! It was the fools that couldn't see her for who she was was until it was too late for a period of time. After which the new pregnancy got her over the issues for a bit.

You can say alot about the woman, but she really love her children.

Up to this day I still don't know who was right at this moment. I know they did it to protec Diana, but the cruelty to Adalind was horrible. It made me understand a lot of the bad thing she did after this as Nick and the others basically ignored her after stealing her daughter. Pd. And this is one of the 10 million reason why I love this show

Nick and the gang had absolutely no right to steal her baby! And then they complained for the consequences of their actions. Renard only started to be nice to her after the cat magic, cuz he didn’t expect her to do such thing. Until then he was mean.

Wonderful series the betrayal is real but at the cost to keep his daughter safe

well according to the media, the use of molotovs to burn down businesses and attempt to burn down courthouses as well as police buildings as well as apt complexes with people inside them, the throwing of bombs at police causing injuries such as lost limbs, shining lasers that have caused permanent blindness in police officers and nearly caused a helicopter to crash killing those aboard, all of those never happened in portland.

Adalind is a complicate character in my opinion. She did try to sell her child once but when she lost her daughter, that desperation is unbearable for her and she determined to do anything that can bring the child back. She wants to be a good mother, but unfortunately people who goes after Diana won’t give her the chance.

They had no right to do that idc how much i disliked Addy you don't take a child away from their mother unless there is a valid reason and you got no other choice

They could have easily told her about it, explain and trusted her with the info. If they did so they wouldn’t have had Adalind did what she did to Nick and Juliette wouldn’t have turned into a Hexenbiest.

Nick and his friends had no right to do what they did. None. The child wasn't theirs to justify them making any such decisions. It wasn't like Adalind was a bad mother and Diana needed protecting from her. She trusted them (something she isn't known to do) and they betrayed her. Furthermore, what happened as a result of that betrayal was on them.

Adalind she's the reason I even watch this movie love her

As for girl, woman, this moment seems to me more terrifying and tremendous then many other thing. There were so easy for her to lose mind forever…

When i was a child my parents were very poor immigrants in France. We lived in a very old very uncomfortable derelict house. I was the youngest boy of 8 kids (why poor people have so many kids is something i'll never understand) and my older sister, just a couple of year above me was incredibly cute, but i mean doll like adorable. Next to our house lived a religious sister, sister francoise who adored my sister and was always playing with her, giving her candies, etc and even had renamed her Francoise after her (red flag). Often my mother would get home and Francoise would not be there and would always be found with the sister, eating and playing and my mother had to bring her back home, apologizing to the sister for the trouble. One day sister francoise came to our house with money and asked my mother if she could either give her or sell her francoise so she could make her her daughter officially. My mother who didn't speak french too well, asked my older brother what the lady said, thinking she might have misheard her. So did my older brother who asked sister francoise to repeat herself several times, and asking her if she really wanted him to translate that to my mother. She did, so he did. My mother asked for the money to the sister and counted it and then put it on the table and then asked the sister to wait a second. She went to the kitchen and came back with a large knife which my father used to kill the chicken (it was the 70s in a poor remote village in france and people raised their own food and killed which is far more honest than buying it in the supermarket). she then asked my sister francoise to come and asked my brother to translate. She took my sister and told her not to be sacred at all because it was just a joke (in her language which sister francoise could not understand) then she put the knife under my sister's throat and told my brother to translate. "I would sooner slaughter my kids one after the other than give them away of sell them, and then i would end up with myself". She asked the sister where all that money came from because the sister was not that rich. She said that she had borrowed it from the bank and was putting herself in debt to adopt my sister. Then my mother took the knife and sliced her own hand and pressed until her hand was filled with blood, she then emptied it on the pile of money, and said to the sister, Now you are going to have to bring that money to the bank back and explain to them why there is blood. You can either tell the truth, that you wanted to buy someone's child and go to prison, or lie and in which case good luck explaining the blood. The sister went to the police and pretended that my mother had tried to steal her money and for that reason she had to fight her and my mother ended up getting hurt and bleeding all over the money she stole. The police came to our house and asked if this was true and of course they were not going to trust an immigrant poor and without education so they arrested my mother. My older sisters and brothers and father had to fight for days before my mother was released and bring the case to court. Eventually we won because there was no evidence that my mother had broken into the sister's house and she had told one of the clerks at the bank that she wanted to use that money to adopt a child. The judge also trusted the story of a 5 year old little girl and a 10 year old little boy. The sister had had some trouble with the church before as well so that was the last straw and she got kicked out of the church and her house and had to move to another village. Years and years went on and my sister became a teenager and like all teenager she became a pain in the but... and one day that my mother wouldn't agree to something she said "i wished you had sold me to that nun she would have been a better mother". My mother was so hurt she sent my sister to an aunt and told her, "you will never set a foot into this house ever again for as long as i live" . 15 years went on before my mother agreed to forgive my sister and only because my parents had moved to another house so she was not breaking her vow, and she was setting foot in another house. By then my sister had a kid and realized how hurtful it is to be told that the kid would prefer another mother and would rather be sold to another person. All of this because someone thought they had any right over someone else's child. I don't have kids, i have pets. There is not enough money in the world to make me sell them to anyone.

I'm still not sure if they did the right thing here, even after all this time, I feel like if they had let Adalind keep Diana, she would've come to trust them more sooner, but who knows how it would've gone, but what I do know is, Adalind would do anything for Diana, and she tried to be the best mom she could, I don't think things would've gone that bad if they had let her keep Diana

Adalind at that point was NOT trust worthy at all, just the lost of her baby made her Mature enought to stop hurting the people who could protect her. When she stoped demanding help and started gaining their trust to get said help is when they start to build a relationship.
