Adalind's Mom Is Horrible | Grimm

Catherine Schade (Jessica Tuck) was in on Renard's plan after she learned about it from her daughter. She initially seemed to be a very loving and nurturing mother. After Adalind returned home having failed her task, her mother was initially sympathetic. However, when she discovered that her daughter not only failed but also lost her powers, becoming human, she became unsympathetic to her daughter and had no problem disowning her.
From Grimm Season 1 Episode 17 'Love Sick': Nick is in the trailer trying to find out what the key that he received from his aunt might open. Juliette calls him telling that Hank has invited them to have dinner together with Adalind. Captain Renard is forced by a criminal with a weapon to go with him to meet his cousin, but he reacts and kills them both. When Nick meets Adalind, he recalls that she wanted to kill his aunt and he confronts her near the restrooms. But he is called to investigate the murder of the two men and leaves the restaurant. Meanwhile Renard goes to the house of Catherine and she tells him that her daughter will get the Grimm's key for him. Nick meets with Monroe and Rosalee and Rosalee discovers what Adalind gave to Hank. Will she be capable to prepare an antidote and save his life?

I have this wild theory that the debt that Catherine owes is that she killed her husband (Adalind's dad), and Shaun as a young detective figured it out but did not turn her in.

Great theory. Might even be true. According to Adalind, she told Nick that her father took off when she was 4. Whether or not it's true was never confirmed. Also, we don't know if he was human or a less powerful Zauerbiest than Catherine.
I love when Adalind sees her Mom!! Imagine walking in and seeing ur Mom with that face🤣🤣 My Mom sure wouldn't get a smile and a HI Mom😂
I feel for Adalind in the end. Maybe what she should've said was "We fought, he pinned me down, he kissed me...I bit him". Catherine could've been at least a little more sympathetic then she gotten the whole details.

Start of adalyn mother had an idea But the turn out the test and Renard come out when Sean had that idea That whole thing idea was Sean Renard the captain

I think those three coins that were found in that shop owners store really messed with Rennard. It found a weak spot and caused permanent damage while Hank was only temporarily affected.

Nick's mom is far more horrible.
Never liked Adalind,Nick would have been better off with Juliette,but it didn’t work out that way.

@@alexanderpoff2320i also don’t understand because from what I know everyone say’s that Juliette is not as good as adalind im now at the beginning from Grimm I stopped years ago at season 3 i just know that somehow Juliette became evil and adalind became somehow good and so on

Aunt Marie was right that Nick could never have a normal life with Juliette. They were never meant to stay together because she wasn't from that world. Adalind not only knew that world but could navigate it the way a partner of Nick needed. I liked Juliette too but Adalind was right for Nick in the end
