Jewish historian Josephus would have mentioned Matthew 27:53 or why bother documenting anything at all? That's a funny thing about history. History. Not my story, not your story... His story!

@fukenbiker and yet Josephus, along with another Rabbi, mentions Jesus in the Jewish Talmud, and they mentioned the miracles He did. Not only them but Pontius Pilate, the Roman mayor of Judea gave his own eyewitness accounts of the life of Jesus. So whether Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John weren't the original writers of their books, there's already outside sources that confirm Jesus's existence. There's also been the recent discovery of the pool of Siloam where Jesus healed the crippled man. That's just one of many archeological findings.

That wasn't the Gospel, actually. He did mention Israel's Gospel and he said that Gospel is preached all over the world. But the Gospel today that is preached all over the world is Paul's Gospel of Grace. Israel's Gospel won't be preached again until God calls out to Israel again. That's what the 144,000 Jews of Revelation 7 will be doing and the Great multitude of believers will come to faith through Israel (the 144,000). That isn't the Body of Christ Church.

Yes, I see it, too! (I'm sorry, I don't know your name.) Thank you for pointing out what I tell others at every opportunity. One group has been preaching 'the good news' (gospel) since the late 1800's. Jesus' resurrection is a guarantee ("assurance") to *all* that we will soon see.-Acts 17:31. Jesus also said "Ye shall not have gone over the cities of Israel, till the Son of man be come."-Matthew 10:23. Some have said all the prophecies of the end of this world & the beginning of the next are now fulfilled. I believe that in our lifetimes we will see the Kingdom of God remove all the governments of men. May you be blessed to see it. The King is COMING!

That's the physical heart, the Bible talks about the heart being the seat of emotion, motivation, the mind. That is what will fail but the physical heart will still be beating

Agreed, but by His second coming, are you referring to the rapture, or to the moment when we will return with Him at the end of the seven years of Jacob's troubles?

The Gospel, which is the death burial & resurrection of our Lord (-1Cor 15:1-4), is something that MUST be obeyed > 2Thess 1:7-9 & 1Peter 4:17-18. Mainstream Christianity is NOT teaching God's full plan of salvation. They negate the vital instruction on how to be clothed in Christ; God's command to be baptized "for the forgiveness of sins. Study: John 14:6, 15-1-14, Acts 4:12, Matt 7:12-29, 22:10-14, 28:18-20, Mk 16:16, Jn 3:5, & 36, 4:23-24, 12:45-50, Acts 2:19-47, 8:35-39, 16:14-34, 22:6-16, 5:29, Rom 6:1-8, Gal 3:27, Col 2:8-13, Eph 2:1-22, 2Thess 1:7-9, 2Tim 2:5&15, Heb 5:9, James 2:14-26, 3:1, 1Pet 3:18-22, 4:17-18, 1Jn 5:7-8, Rev 2:10, 7:14, 22:18-19, Psalm 146:3-4, Jer 50:6, Isa 66:2,. Hebrews 11 teaches grace saves when faith obeys. A child-like faith = God said it, that should settle it.

1 In second Thessalonians 2 verse 7. The Holy Spirit is indeed the only one who can or ever has restrained evil, and so when He is removed those that have been born-again will be removed with Him, unless you believe that we will be abandoned by Him. All who are hid in Christ have the Holy Spirit dwelling within them, when the Holy Spirit is removed, "he that now letteth lets," we will be removed with Him from this planet, and then shall that wicked be revealed. We will not be here when the antichrist is revealed to the world. 2 In Luke 21 the context is from verse 8 through 36, not just a singular verse. In verse 36 we are to pray that we will be accounted worthy to escape. Escape what? The entire context is about the tribulation period, and so it is seen as truth that there will be a rapture before the time of Jacobs troubles begin. This escaping does not mean that all who are today born again will live through those days, for is clearly seen as a truth that many will not love their lives unto the death, and many will be beheaded for their witness. if you believe that this "counted worthy to escape" means the continuation of your life through the days of tribulation, then you must admit to yourself that Philippians 1:21 is not a truth to you. 3 And as for Matthew 24 verse13, if you are going to say that there is no rapture of the church, that those who have been crucified with Christ will be left behind when the Holy Spirit is removed, then what you are saying by default is that all who have been saved by the grace of God through faith in Jesus Christ can lose, or have the promise of their eternal salvation, removed from them. that there is no assurance for those who have been born again, that there is a sin that the Lord will not forgive, a sin that He did not die for. What you are saying, by default, is that the Almighty cannot be trusted to keep his word, and that we are not saved by grace through faith, that we must not only perform some work that can be counted towards our salvation but must continue to perform works to maintain it. 4 Regarding 1st Thessalonians 4, verses16 through17, if the rapture was to occur at the end of the tribulation period, what is known as a boomerang theory, then you must believe that at the end of the tribulation period the saints are raptured and then turn right around and come back to earth, which makes no sense whatsoever, and attempts to displace much of the Book of Revelations from chapter 4 to 19. 5 If you believe that we cannot lose our salvation, but you also do not believe in the rapture, how do you offer further explanations for Matthew 24 verse13? “But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.” The verse is obviously speaking of those who will be saved during the days of Jacobs troubles, for if there is no rapture, then by default, you must believe that we can lose our salvation, that those who are saved today will go through the tribulation time, and that they must endure until the end of it, or to the loss of their lives and therefore there is no assurance of our salvation by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. 6 It is impossible for anyone to believe in the assurance of their salvation and at the same time believe that we must endure to the end. these two statements are in direct contradiction to each other. therefore, if you do not believe in the rapture, you cannot believe in the assurance of your salvation.

Theres an angel who flies through the air having the everlasting gosple to preach unto all the world for a witness. Its in revelation 14 right before we are raptured or harvested. When he stands on sion with his 144,000 undefiled elect.

This is a perfect example of believers parroting bad apologetics. Non of the bibles prophesies have come true. When believers say they came true, it's with a boat load of conditions, contexts and assumptions. Believers aren't interested in what is reasonable, likely, probable or plausible. They're only interest is that non believers can't prove their claims impossible. Believers are interested in the tiniest sliver of possibility that can't be proven impossible.

It's 24:30 when christ said he comes back, After the tribulation of those days. Not before the tribulation. That is exclaimed again in the fact that his second coming isn't spoken of in revelations until chapter 19. Beware that you are not all lead astray!! For if you are lead to believe christ will return before these horrors happen and then do not see him?!! Many will gall away from the faith simply because they did not read it in its entirety! That Will be one of the largest stumbling blocks!

My guy. Let me be frank with you. I grew up in a church that taught about the rapture as Kirk Camerons book taught. The 'Left Behind' ones. But this teaching defers The day of The Lord to some future event. How can that be reconciled with Jesus when He says The Kingdom of Heaven comes not with observation'? Or how does it reconcile with Jesus when He says 'The Kingdom of Heaven is among you'? Jesus spoke of today and not observable. How then can Jesus return descending from the sky when you are the cloud He talks about. Remember Paul talks about a cloud of witnesses? Paul dosnt talk about a different day but today. So i ask, what is heaven? Isnt it the place of powers and principalities? Arent we 'kings and priests' that Peter talk about? Heavens? So Jesus is Heaven of heavens. Jesus is King of kings and Lord of lords. Today, not tomorrow. And you are kings and priests when you believe Jesus. You become a part of the cloud Jesus is descending with when He becomes King to you. This is the rapture. When Jesus becomes your I AM that I AM to you in whatever need you have. This is The Day of The Lord. When Jesus provides you with whatsoever need you have.

That is an amillennial interpretation of the Scripture. Jesus has not come in His fullness. The Kingdom of God is dualistic..it is now but not yet. Now in our hearts where He is Lord, and He has not yet reigned on the Earth on the throne of David, He will on day! Hallelujah! Yea i used to believe pre trib rapture. But i can hear so much more without it. To defer The Day of the Lord to a future occurrence is to defer Christ reigning in your mind to another day. Doubting Thomases of the world are hurt. And if The Kingdom of Heaven is among you... And it comes not with observance... Hows Jesus gonna sit on a chair somewhere on earth? Youd be able to observe Him. Like i said... I used to subscribe to pre trib rapture. Which even in its name is oxymoronic. Tribulation... Peter and Paul speak of trials and tribulation. But they speak about today. Yet pre trib rapture teaches that the real tribulation is for later. But what causes tribulation? The fowler of psalm 91? The waster of Isaiah 54:16? I just cant unsee how the rapture is not true anymore.

This is also how you become a fountain of living waters! You see the old earth got flooded with real water right. So big waves the works! Right. So today however WE are the fountains. We are the flood upon the earth! We go around filling up cisterns around us. Other people need water coming from us! And we flood them. And we kill them there by! Because Jesus Words dwell in us richly! Example John 5:39! The Pharisees were looking for salvation in the wrong place! Even though they looked for salvation in Gods Word they didnt see the Gods Word was standing right in front of them!! And Jesus stands right in front of you in the entire bible. Everywhere it speaks of Him! John 5:39. If it isnt so how have i been a witness to it? And not only in me but in a handful of others! But i can understand the doctrine of the rapture... And i see both yours and mine. But i say mine is better because Jesus is the focus today! Not later. We can see the development of the disciples into the power houses of the new testament right? We have Christ in us!! He is ruling, His kingdom is not seen yet but will be during The Millennium, Rev 20 Colossians 1:27 - To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

There is a part in the Catholic Credo that has this sort of meaning, that you are telling about the fulfilled prophecies and disciples. The part: "For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate; he suffered death and was buried, and rose again on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures." Other than that I'm not sure if we are drawing close to the end. There are signs, but we don't know for sure. It's nowadays a popular idea in many sects and there were events for many years that reminded people for the end times in the earlier centuries. We can't be sure about that. We don't know if Jesus is talking about the technology or other ways to hear the Gospel. Plus you are telling about the news but in fact this world was a very nasty place since Adam and Eve. There is nothing new about that idolatry is spreading and sins are around. However, there are unsettling signs that you could be right and we will be here for the second coming but I believe there are chances but it's early to predict that.

Sorry to rain on the parade but the "gospel of the kingdom" isn't the gospel of salvation and it certainly isn't the one that christians are instructed to use to bring people to Christ. It's a deep Bible study for disciples. Read Matthew 24 again because everything before, and then shall the end come, Christ was giving as non signs rather than signs of His return and it goes on to state "then let those in Judea". The apocalypse isn't about the church. It's about those who didn't want to be the church. What Jesus was saying in chapter 24 was meant to be par for the course of the world from the time of His departure across the millennia until His return. It's not predictable and was never meant to be. If you're a believer, you should be aware that you are always potentially one breath away from the end.

@@instavotion yes those are summaries of the gospel that Christ died for the sins of believers. The gospel of the kingdom of heaven in the book of Matthew is Christ's earthly ministry to the Jews. It's about the kingdom of heaven. Those things that Christ stated were prophetic in nature and not prescribed to the church. They were a warning to Israel.

Not at all: muhammad is the prophet of an entirely different god, the crescent moon god allah of his Quyrash tribe, who created a completely different religious ideology. He borrowed heavily from the Bible, albeit with much error, and from ancient gnostic Syriac scrolls, but he has zero connections to the Bible.

Small problem. If the gospel is reaching all nations, the end should be by now. The reason the end is not yet nigh, is the gospel. Did you notice, he cited Mathew 24:14? It's about the coming kingdom of God. Unfortunately, THAT is not the gospel currently being preached. Currently, it's a complicated need for a savior, and message/teaching of salvation about Christ. Not the simple gospel of Mark 1:14-15, but the sacrifice of Christ, was necessary for your salvation, as we are sinners. Get the difference? No gospel, no return. By the current gospel which ISN'T Mt. 24:14, but another gospel, it could be more than a century before the gospel gets rescued from Sunday seminary graduates.

@instavotion Small problem. If the gospel is anything else than Mark 1:14-15, it's NOT the gospel according to Christ. YOU, and millions of others are unable to read PAST TENSE, in 1Cor. 15:1-2 that he ALREADY PREACHED THE GOSPEL EXACTLY AS CHRIST ......BEFORE. Then, the teaching of salvation AFTER. JUST LIKE ACTS, 28:31-32. Bless your insistent on another gospel heart. Mark 1:14-15, Your boss, your savior, the truth, the chief cornerstone, the gospel he taught to be preached. Why do you seek another gospel? Stop calling the teaching/message of salvation, the gospel, or he will NOT return, bless your mortal heart.

The Bible says that ALL of it is 'God Breath' I believe every word of it is absolute truth. I have experienced the truth that when you apply it to your life, God is with you in a special way. I do often fail though but I have Jesus as my savior who forgives me when I fall? I take it that you don't have faith. Do me a favor, please read the book of John, see what Jesus says about Himself.
