We rarely got any drinks other than Kool-aid when I was a child. Lip smackers came in little tins that slid open and you had to use your finger. Dunk-a-roos came in 2 flavors when I was younger. Chocolate or vanilla. I didn't get to enjoy most of the treats you featured until I was a teen.

For some reason the Skittles flavored Lip Smackers are an entirely different texture than the classics. Way less dry and waxy. They're the best ones in my opinion, but my friends were all obsessed with Dr Pepper. Oh, also, if you're prone to nosebleeds, a little bit of Lip Smacker applied to your pinkie then VERY gently rubbed into a dry nostril is an actual game-changer (with the added bonus of smelling rather pleasant). Sorry if that's a bit gross, but if it helps someone...

When I was little, it was before Icee existed but there were roadside stands or trucks where you could get "Sno-Cones" crushed (shaved) ice served in a paper cone with flavored sugar syrup poured over the ice. My favorite was grape. I can't remember what other flavors they had, but you could top the ice with a mix of syrups. It was so cold against your teeth you ate it using a plastic spoon, letting it melt in your mouth and then drinking the rest of the super sweet syrup at the bottom of the cone. Turned my tongue purple! Haven't had one in 50 years...

Oh Lip Smackers! I graduated in 1979. I remember the big fat ones. Grape was my favorite. I had a bunch of them but Grape and probably Strawberry were the best. We also wore essential oils as perfume. Bought them at Spencer's! Strawberry, Orange, Patchouli. I hated the musk. And vanilla was just too sweet. I still buy Sunny D. My Grands love it.

Hi, Emmy! Man oh man. I love the feeling of nostalgia! I was a kid who aaaalways rode my bike to our local party store for snacks with my friends. My favorites I can remember were Orbitz (a fruity drink with little like, gelatin balls inside?), Clearly Canadian was also something I’d get often to drink! For candy, I’d get Bubble Tape, Ouch Bubble Gum (bubble gum in a bandaid tin, and all of the gum was wrapped like a bandaid), sometimes I’d get licorice rope, or those BIG pixie stix (the ones that were like, 3 feet long 🤣).

FYI: Sunny Delight DID change their formula, mainly because of a specific artificial orange flavoring they used, was determined to be a cancer risk, and was banned by the FDA. All products that used it either disappeared or were reformulated using a different artificial orange flavoring. Tang also had to be reformulated, because they used the same flavoring. (this is also why you can't get orange Crystal Light any more, instead of reformulating, they just dropped the flavor entirely.)
