Do you need the Voile TTS Transit Telemark Ski Binding?

Ойын-сауық

Telemark skiing. Boooooo. But some of you have asked, and we have answered. The focus of this binding is simplicity that translates to a functionally straightforward binding that adapts easily to your desires. Per their website: "No fuss or fiddling: three activity positions from neutral to active can be changed in the field without a bench or tools. Those familiar with Voile's bomb-proof spring cartridges know the ease of their micro-adjustment." Over half the weight can be removed and stowed away for easy climbs. Coming in at 548g each and paired with Voile's reputation of durability, the TTS Transit is pushing the tech in telemark to the next level... which we don't see every day.

Thanks for the review. Couple important points: -This is TTS, not NTN. -On TTS, forward position is neutral, rear position is active.

He called them NTN not once, but TWICE! Loses a bunch of credibility, and I don’t know if he understands tele gear. (The hair wave flip at 2:15 doesn’t help either…)

I think when he calls it an NTN binding he’s just referring to the fact it works with an NTN boot, which is true!

Looks fun! I’d love to rent something like this for starters once my knee is further along post ACL surgery! But I did just snow shoe up ski bowl while closed and used my JSki Bladez to get down successfully just 2 months post surgery (drs have me a little paranoid though so I don’t want to push it too much! I’ve never telemarked before but interested to try! I’d like to try it on Bladez too!).

Would buy a pair if they had any left in stock. Rockin a couple pairs of the older model and those are great too

Lot of interest in this binding…though I don’t see how it differs much from other TTS bindings. I actually would be more interested in the first iteration, using the manual toe piece. Step in toes toes are a real pain at times, especially covered in snow on a steep hill, so easy to miss the pits

Looks like a good one. With the heel piece in your pack, it would be the lightest NTN for tour mode as far as weight on your feet goes. The Meidjo is lighter overall by 218 grams and easier to switch modes, but it costs more.

Not an NTN, as stated above

In the first 15 seconds he says it's an NTN binding, but you do make a good point. It doesn't have the NTN type clamp on the "duck butt".

Could you ski something like Tuckerman’s Ravine on a binding like this?
