Love the Meidjo!!

For toe Box icing we on the ice coast (aka PA and north put a little piece of encolite pad aka high density foam) in that area and it seems to eliminate that issue.

A Scarpa mid cable failure?? Inconceivable!! Hopefully they will change that design. I'm a Lynx guy but looking to get a pair of Meidjo's to try out. Thanks for this informative video. Cheers.

Looks like you have a broken instep buckle loop? I have had that happen a lot with my TX Comps. I now ski with Outlaws for resort. Gone to AT for touring until this new (?) Scarpa TX boot arrives. Though I have Freedoms on an older pair of DPS Wailers for the powder days.

It's possible to flip the metal tab with your ski pole to get back into ski mode. That and loads of anti ice tape to reduce icing.

The icing/snow buildup issue I’m describing happens in the corners of the second heel near the red wings and kickstand tab, I’m not sure how anti ice tape would help this. I’m glad you have had luck flicking the tab with your ski pole, perhaps I am missing something that’s preventing me from being able to do it.

@@amerotrashtelemarketer I have tape on the black plastic in the second heel connection but not on the red bits. It does build a bit in there but clears pretty easily. I have more issues icing on the bottom of the duck butt (Scott boots) which can prevent the kickstand from fully retracting.

I get what you are saying. Try the silicone spray trick. If you don't tour that much you can also eliminate the kickstand altogether with the powder casing. I don't have enough trouble with it to warrant using the powder casing. Plus I like to smoke weed when I transition. inwildoutdoor.com/en/products/spare-parts/powder-casing @@leifjacobson6952

@@amerotrashtelemarketerI've been melting wax on the duckbutt every few outings. I have to redo it with reasonable frequency but it works. I haven't tried a spray yet but that could work too, good suggestion.

Have you had any issues with durability or pieces breaking? wondering if this would be ok in the resort too.

No issues with durability. I’ve got 2.5 seasons and I ski about 80 days a year.

How has your experience with the brakes been? Getting a pair of these and I've been split on brakes or leashes.

Love the brakes. I hate leashes. They do squeak a bit when in tour mode but allegedly they redesigned them to limit this.

@@amerotrashtelemarketer good to hear! I've heard one person complain about rub, and one that they brakes aren't actually that great at stopping the skis -- you experienced either of these?

Brakes work like a charm. I think i felt like tripping over them once but that was once only and i just decided to keep my feet wide enough apart i was golden.
