Excellent! Thank you, but I've got a mic with a USB connection should I still use a audio interface? Because of the sound input into the laptop is bad?

A USB mic is basically a mic with a simple audio interface - with phantom power and analog to digital conversion built in. Some of them are pretty good, so if you're happy with the sound no need for a separate interface unless you acquire another mic that needs one.

@@343labs Thanks for your response. I've got a Roland NT USB mic, yes the sound is fine without one.
What are your opinions on multi track mixers with built in usb audio interfaces?

Depends on the specific one you have, but in theory they can be really good.
So the answer to the question is.....?
