Cooper has such chill vibes 😄 love that this channel is so informative without ever trying to hard-sell me anything
Man really appreciate all the videos y'all put out. Fun to watch and informative!
Wow...wasn't planning on new gear but now... that sounds awesome! And as usual, your playing is sublime!
It doesn't sound to me like an acoustic setup that can reproduce the natural sound of the guitar itself, the sound of wood and fret, body and string sound. The sound here is toned and both preamp and amp sound like an electric guitar. People who have used LR Baggs and Schertler know what it is all about. Here you have both the guitar's own sound and then also the option of tone it
Thank you, Cooper. Tex is right, but she was also so good that she used other instruments, as an example, on "Shadows and Light" she had Pat Metheny, Jaco Pastorius, Lyle Mays, and other all-stars on drums and sax. I have to watch that concert again! I'm glad Chris is enjoying his break, and I'm glad you're getting this break in the show biz episodes. Time to go spend time with the Angel (2EC-RDBL) that is coming up to the proper humidity level after nearly two weeks in case humidification. The fret sprouts are growing smaller...
I enjoyed this video Cooper, cool presentation indeed. I was hoping to enjoy your demo of the AD-10 pedal too, but I think its big brother did indeed do the trick!
Nice demo. I have tried to get an answer as to whether you can DI a a passive pickup (e.g. KKs) using the same setup. KK makes its own DI but it’s really only a signal boost without the AD10 effects, etc. Also, Boss makes an amp series which has most or all of these controls on board.
I'm using a $60.00 Zoom G1on . I use the Zoom Clean channel board patch , a little reverb , delay , compression and exciter with great success . this pedal has a ton of effects , compact and battery powered .
Hey bro you are awesome thanks for your techniques god bless you
Taylor Your Taylor Tone! Priceless!
Really nice and informative video - Very practical in terms of what is needed in an all in 1 box to keep your set up simple - I have a Martin D18 retro with the Fishman Aura pick up system - My question would be what EQ setting and level / guitar image blend would be best set up to run into the A10?
good job! well done.
Cooper, thank you for sharing this (following you on IG now). I play 2-3x solo acoustic shows a week and looking for something new for DI/effects. I had the Fishman ToneDEQ but wasn't fully satisfied. Now, I'm just using the Line 6 POD Go (bought an acoustic patch from someone). Figured that would simplify things as I'll throw on my electric here and there to play leads over a rhythm that I loop. I also use an external looper, the Ditto X4, because I wanted a dedicated stop button. Not sure if the Boss AD-10 has that but will be looking into this. Thank you again for the info here.

Did you get it? I'm ordering one next week.
Thank you
Very nice. 👍🏻
Would be very helpful if you would tell us what knobs and effects you are adding while you are playing.
As always, you can trust Cooper to point you to exactly what you need.
Have you guys covered the IK Multimedia “Acoustic Stage”? I wonder… I’m going to have a look around your channel.
Cooper, Loved your video on this topic. Firstly, you're an amazingly talented guitar player. I have a Fishman rare-earth soundhole pickup that I plug into a Fishman LoudeBox-mini which has both chorus and reverb features on it; with 2 channels, 1 for my mic and 1 for my guitar. I play a lot of fingerstyle (Hot Tuna, Joni Mitchell, genre). I use the soundhole pick up on a froggy bottom M-series and a Martin OM-21. ...so, Do I need a pre-amp? I was at a gig yesterday and felt like I had to turn up the Fishman amp almost all the way up (I was playing background music at a little brewery/restaurant). I thought a pre-amp would "boost" sound, but from your description, it seems to provide effects which are already be built in to my Fishman mini-amp and that I use. Do you think the issue is I may need a more powerful amp? The restaurant had it's own system, but it had NO effects--that's why I brought my own amp.
I am getting the Boss pedal, and will use my Fender amp (same as the one shown) to constitute my acoustic rig. Thanks for your guidance, Cooper!!!
Can't go wrong with the Nux optima air. Impulse responses on it are quite authentic and it's under $200.
Awesome video. Thanks Cooper? Is that an acoustic or an electric amp?
Is a preamp pedal always needed? I want to use my acoustic into my loop pedal and electric guitar amp with a soundhole pickup(fishman neo d single coil). Would the signal be loud enough? Just for at home playing. Nice demo as always
I appreciate how Cooper explains WHY and HOW an acoustic guitarist would find this product useful.
Cooper, I forget to add a question on my earlier comment. Should I change from having the Fishman rare-earth soundhole pickup to installing Lr Baggs Lyric undersaddle mics on my 2 sguitars? (The froggy bottom and the Martin OM21)? The soundhole pickup works well but for the presence of the cable that sticks out of the soundhole and sometimes "gets in the way". Thoughts?
Errrr... yea about that 'Lady's Of The Canyon T', where can I get one please?
Hi is it possible to connect it directly to any powered speakers without mixer? i don't have any acoustic guitar amplifier only powered speaker.
So my V-tone adi21 will make my Fender Deville 4x10's compatable ?
🤘👍🏿How does it compare in your view to the LR Baggs Align series (many of which I bought after watching your reviews of them).
you show how you plug in with amp and eq it
Is the AD10 can pass through the signal without the need to power it up, cause it’s the first in the chain. Asking cause I need to use my Stratocaster sometimes. Thanks
This might be silly but I have a guitar with a fishman piezo and preamp on the guitar and a boss gx100 multieffects......is there a benefit buying a larger preamp like this for home recording?
What is the input impedance of the units reviewed.
What do I do if I only have a Fender Blues Jr, what would you recommend? Is a pre amp the solution for acoustic guitar and electric guitar amp? Thanks
Hi Thanks, does this effects need DI?
what EQ adjustments do you make to the amp? Thx
Chris is not around? Means a nice Taylor is going to arrive
What guitar is he playing?
From watching the videos I’ve always thought Cooper was a Electric player that enjoys acoustic... I was surprised to hear him say the majority of his shows are acoustic
Is that running into a fender electric guitar amplifier?
Thank you for this video. I just got an AD-10 for use with my Cordoba Fusion 12 crossover with nylon strings. I am struggling to get a good «nylon» tone, the AD-10 somehow makes it sound more like a steel string acoustic. Does anyone have any advice on how to improve this?

Try making a nylon string impulse response of your guitar
but doesn't a mixer do the exact same thing already?
Tame your Taylor tone? A Chris McKee-ism? Oh well. I think your t-shirt personality used/uses a Martin. Good demo.
Hi Cooper , can you tell me what model amplifier you are going through on this clip .Kind regards Martin

I heard you new record and could it be you forgot your Noice Gate swiched on ? Sonic Youth: No, we do not violate noices sorry
So, I was shopping for Taylor 814ce 2017, x brassing, mainly to play in the church. Then I came through all the negative comments about he ES2 systems. I’ve Boss AD10 for acoustic, will that help guys? Cause I’m still interest to get the 814ce. Kindly advise.
I’m on a constant quest for a guitar that stays in tune for more than a few minutes.

Get new strings and stretch them. My $60 glarry strat stays in tune perfectly even through heavy trem usage
If you have battery operated vol and tone controls on your guitar you dont need a di box or external preamp
Good cab is the secret of an good acoustic sound. Try plugin your guitar into a cheap 2.0 speaker.

I agree. I've played bass for over a decade and the best piece of advice I ever got was "don't skimp on the cab". I upgraded my cab a while back, went to practice, and my whole band immediately turned their heads. Doesn't matter how nice your amp is if it's magnified through garbage...
Wait…are you playing through an electric guitar amp?
your hair 10:22 was beautiful, if I were a girl I'd fall for you
No matter how good your acoustic guitar is....get a preamp!! End of argument!!!
